Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Thanks and is there a limit to the discount?
Some places don't accept it (if the restaurant is run separately to the hotel) and others will sometimes limit certain menu items. I like to ask before ordering to avoid any problems later.

The accor plus website lists all hotels/restaurants that accept it.
www.accorplus.com/au/restaurants/

If it's one person dining it's a 25% discount off food, for two people at the table it's 50% off food, for 3 people at the table it's 33% off and then for 4 or more it's 100/number of people for example for 8 people it'd be a 12.5% discount (caped at a minimum of 10%). Some hotels also like to play games further restricting it like the Sofitel Fiji which is a flat 25% per table.

For drinks it's 15% in Asia but some places often limit that to non alcoholic drinks only.

OK I'm a lot wiser now - thanks for all the feedback and info

I found it interesting during a recent stay at the Pullman Auckland Airport that they has a little symbol for it:Screenshot 2024-08-23 at 5.00.24 PM.png

On the menu this was oysters, the $95 tasting menu, the $130 lamb shoulder, the $55 whole fish, the $50 pork chop and the daily steak.
Can see the menu here:

The bar snacks food menu then has:
"Accor Plus discount does not apply to bar menu"

I'm a newbie to Accor so a quick question

@jase05 I think you've been the the Sofitel in Adelaide a bit.

I'm Accor Silver plus (I will get to gold when I do the challenge but just need to be able to travel first)

Do I get 50% off the meals at Garcon Bleu if I'm not staying there - is it just the meals and not the drinks.
Don’t have to be staying there.
Mrs Jase works practically next door and often goes over with a work friend for breakfast or lunch.

I've just put in a request to cancel my A+ membership, which ends next month, and plan to rejoin late in December to shift my status extension benefit to the fullest.
Sorry if this has been explained before, but how does that advantage the status extension? I ask because my A+ membership ends 30 June.

It's because of the way status is assessed in Accor Plus

The status tier will be assessed based on the Eligible Status Nights or Status points earned during one of the two periods:

  1. The current calendar year to date
  2. The previous calendar year
The highest number of Eligible Nights spent or Status points earned during one of these two periods, will determine your new Status. You will then keep that status until your next membership year.

The later in the year you are assessed, the better off you are under point 1. Realistically if you are assessed late in the year, you only need to achieve status in alternate years.

Good morning and Happy weekend.

I just book myself a 1 night stay and redeemed 2k points as part of the payment. Just wondering if that still count as a 1 night toward my nights for Platinum? I am counting and relying on every night. TIA

I just received my latest update. Last Thursday night I stayed at Movenpick Spencer Street, Melbourne, using points. It left $1.44 to pay at the hotel, so that night was logged as a "stay" night. Unfortunately the night at Batman's Hill, where it was totally paid with points, was not included as a "stay" night. Due to the time I arrived that Sunday night, the restaurant and bar were closed, so there was nothing to purchase that would turn the night's accommodation into a "stay" night. 😥

If I had realised at the time that I needed to make some sort of purchase, I would have bought a coffee in the morning. I didn't want breakfast as I was meeting family for an early lunch. Lesson learned! I now still need two more nights to make gold, but have only one booked this calendar year (not membership year).

Also a lesson not to completely pay with points: just leave a bit left over (like that $1.44) if not intending to buy a drink or breakfast.

In Palm Cove only La Mesa at Peppers accepts Accor +.

Pullman's Temple of Tastes does not and The Reef House restaurant is only for in house guests and also doesn't accept Accor +
It does pay to check before dining.

Does anyone know if the head count includes children?
My daughter and her husband went with the 2 teenagers for breakfast buffet with a Member for a Day certificate.
Adults got 50% off but the 2 kids were charged kids buffet price.

I have read that children can eat from the kids menu (no discount applied) but 1 adult, 25% off, 2 adults/diners get 50%, 3 get 33% etc @306

Hi. So now I'm Gold with 34 nights, looking to sign up for 1night Stay plus with Fiji A+ membership. My problem is my VPN doesn't have Fiji. What can I do to sign up Fiji A+ please? I have until December 31st to become Platinum.
Also with all your experience, should I sign up A+ now or closer to December 31st?
Thanks

Why Fiji, unless I'm missing something it's US$295 which works out at AU$435 per year that comes with a single stay plus?

Many other countries including the AU program are cheaper?
