Accor Plus renewal - any deals?

My renewal is due at the end of the month. For those who have renewed recently, did Accor contact you about renewal, or did you contact them? I would have expected to have heard from them by now and haven't, so think I might ring next week. I recall I had to phone them last year as well.

They usually call at the beginning of the month so yes that's a bit strange, you sure they have your correct number in your profile?

My renewal was in September. There was a deal with my professional association (the AMA - no surprise given my handle on this site) for $299. So I told them no thanks, I'll re-join via the deal. The call centre staffer checked with her supervisor and they couldn't/wouldn't match it. So maybe they have very little leeway now to reduce the renewal fee.

I did renew with them, as I wanted a supplementary card - there was negotiation available on this - they reduced the price by $30 so the total I paid was the same. Not a 'deal' but saved me the hassle of filling in a lot of forms, and I already had plans for my Stay Plus and several dinners/lunches for the silly season.

By the way, anyone dined at the new Atelier at Sofitel Darling Harbour? Recommendations for menu choice?

After last weeks follow up, I received an email overnight boosting me to Platinum.

Should have heard from them already. Not sure you'll hear from them now - the outbound team might have started their Xmas break.

Hah! I don't think you'll be rid of 'em that easily!

When I gave them the boot a few years ago, I received almost fortnightly calls for about 5 months asking to reconsider.

By that time I was in with the Hilton Diamond Club (now defunct) as a Gold and had absolutely no interest inAdv+ after 10 years.

I phoned this morning and renewed for another 12 months as I was able to retain platinum. As part of the security checks it was confirmed that they have all the correct contact details for me, so not sure they hadn’t contacted me

Was going to cancel, platinum status will be worth the renewal.

Easily made Platinum this year with over 17000 sc so I don’t need the free kick.

They’re closed apparently until next week.

I just tried to login to my AccorPlus account, and my AccorHotels account, and login was rejected on both. I haven't had a phone call from Accor to renew my AccorPlus as yet but expiry date is 31-Dec so it should still be valid today. I had over Accor 50k points in my account...not happy Jan.

Mine also expires today but I could login ok.

I tried to find out where to convert my points to vouchers - can't find where to do it anymore. Have vouchers been abandoned?

Yes Accor vouchers are no longer available.

an update, I've not heard from Accor Plus and my login is rejected due to my membership (lack of) but the good news is I can now login to AccorHotels once again and see my points and bookings are still there.

I didn't hear from them either - my account has been converted from Accor Plus Platinum to normal Accor Le Club Platinum today in the meantime.

My points and bookings are also still there.

I've been renewed once to platinum after the AmEx deal (had to pay $300 but that was fine). Has anyone been comped to platinum two years (for the fee) in a row? I only have 10 stays in the current year.

Yes, as mentioned upthread I renewed at the end of last year and was able to retain Platinum for the 2nd year post Amex. Fee was 349 I believe.
