Flew last night Sydney to Perth on a new BSI in Business and the Jackets are hung on Coathangers behind row 2 on the rail attached to the false bulk head.

Yeah. That's where they are meant to be going!!

They are - or someone is. I had selected 2D for this afternoon but went in an hour ago and it was back to 1D. It's either BSI/refitted so I'm a little annoyed as I was supposed to be checking out row 2 to provide feedback here on the space!

Just arrived at Premium check in in Sydney - omg there is a queue - ugh! That never happens here - 3 pax in front of me!

Don't panic, BSI 2D feedback has been done already (including photo). No problems, plenty of room with 1D reclined and a nice looong amount of leg room. Having been both BSI 1D and now twice BSI 2D, I find them much of a muchness. I'm happy with either, but then I'm only 5'8", not 6'+. For the taller travellers, I'd sway in favour of 2D

Premium Lounge Entry Angel moved me back to 2D. Flight is chockers!

Below is the obligatory legroom shot from 2D (note I am 6'2" so it actually is a decent amount of room despite how the photo may look - definitely more than QF on a B738).

No BSI photos sorry Jack - it's a refitted aircraft not a BSI!

Good knee room mate! Do I see a Bose QC15 case?

Yes you do ... best investment I ever made!

I am thinking of getting some in-ear noise canceling headphones for shorter domestic flights though as the Bose case is too big for my laptop bag and bit of a pain. I need to read up the other thread and do a bit of research first though.

Yeah. That's where they are meant to be going!!

Just looked backwards and noticed the rail.

The FA offered to take the jacket from the guy in 1F - then proceeded to fold it and place in the overhead locker!

Must have forgotton the coathangers today....

I find my QC15s easily fit into my laptop bag without the case. Just turn the earcuffs so they align like they do inside the Bose case. The audio is really amazing, so crystal clear and such tight but powerful lows.

Evening, I travel for work very often so am Platinum Virgin. Most flights are last minute to deal with issues all over the country. Just booked in Brisbane Melbourne next Wednesday, 5 days away at 8am, should be quiet flight and I'm in 7c. This is the closest I can get. All my flights are last minute so based on this new system I'm going to be platinum on the wing from now on, not very good for me at all. As a Platinum this is a very big negative for my flights with Virgin, not sure what to do!!

So sitting in the Perth lounge. Assigned myself 1F for the BSI flight home to BNE.
Got 1F at check in and priority tagged bags.

VA is On a winner here

No BSI aircraft for my next 2 Virgin Australia flights in 2 weeks. Nice to be able to select row 3.

I did notice that on the web page, for Manage Bookings.
Need to change, cancel, re-print your itinerary or add baggage to your flight? You can view your itinerary, and make most changes in your own time, through our secure website.

No mention of being able to select seats on that front page.

Maybe a website update required.

Just selected my seats for my Perth flights. I used the comp upgrades to fly J there and PE back (wrong way round really as I really should have tried for J on the way back). I selected 1C on the way there and 1B on the way back.

Interestingly a centre forward seat was already blocked and no other seats were blocked - just wondering who would choose a centre seat...

Worked for me on Saturday and Monday, MEL-SYD-MEL. Pre-selected 3C both times and got 3C both times.

Hi all,

Quick question, if I may.

I have recently been status matched to Platinum from Virgin.

I have an existing booking for next Tuesday (booked prior to Platinum match) from Melbourne to Mackay (via Brisbane). I can't seem to select seating ? It is only a Saver fare - but from what I have read, because I am Platinum, it shouldn't matter ??

Am thinking that I can't advance seat select because my booking was made when I was "Red" ??

Any thoughts ??

Thanks,

Brooke

You should not have any issues, ring the call centre if its not working!

Got a perfect hit rate for all my preselected seats. Even on flights that were completly full.

Also had my first 'Luke Managan' pie, complimentary too! Though I must say it's a bit overrated but it's pretty good nonetheless.

As markis10 suggested ring the call centre. Alternatively, try removing the VFF number from the booking, and then add it back in - some have reported that existing bookings don't pick up a change in status.

Apologies if I've missed this as I've not read the whole thread, but I've just booked two return trips for November and have been pre-allocated seats for all four flights. All aisle (as per the preference set in my profile), and I would assume I'll be able to change them at T-14 days if I wish.

Sent from my GT-I9100

Note if you're travelling with family members who are in separate bookings, there is no way to link the bookings together so that you can all get seats pre-allocated.
