anyone know an easy place to get magnums for a decent price, preferably in Sydney?
Kemeny's have Veuve for $170 and Dan's have Moet for $150. is that the going rate? i could have 3 normal bottles for those prices!
also during a quick google, 1st choice also appear to be offering 2 Moet 750ML for $90
Has anyone tried the Louis Roederer Carte Blanche demi-sec and can offer an opinion?
.. (not to be confused with Brutal )
Not even when behind the wheel of that tank of yours, Uppy .

Points aside, is this good value? Any reviews of the 2000?
If paying on a 1.5point/$, you will get 600 + 1,797 + 10,000 = 12,397 points.
DM has the 2003 as current vintage for $450.
DM also have the NV for $295/280 in a six, with Aldi selling it for $199.

Firstly good to see epiQure getting the grape variety wrong for the wine.
Secondly, no doubt its a great wine (I've tried it twice), but I think there's much better value to be had if you are spending $400 on champagne. If it's one of those wines that you've been wanting to try then its not a bad deal with the bonus points.
What was the error with the grape variety? (Must be too early in the morning for me to focus properly. )Firstly good to see epiQure getting the grape variety wrong for the wine.

Thanks, what are the other champagnes you have in mind that are of better value?

Was listed as Pinot Noir. Krug 200 is a blend of all three of Champagnes varieties.
Actually, to be fair, the notes showing up on that link for the 2000 say:
Krug 2000 is a blend of wines of that year, coming from many different plots, Krug’s very expressive dialogue of powerful Pinot Noir, aromatic and expressive Chardonnay and generous Pinot Meunier. Krug 2000 features extraordinary finesse thanks to more than ten years in the cellars.
True. Didn't read that spiel. Just noticed in the "Wine Facts" section. You know, the bit that's meant to have factually correct information
