Advice on champagne

Unfortunately not - is there a Melbourne dinner? With Kate McIntyre?

Didn't see it on their website, unlike Sydney's which still has seats available - Prince Wine Store

Yes, with Kate.

Just wondering if people can give me some advice,
we have a family party coming up and I have been placed with sourcing the Champagne/Sparkling
The plan is to get 6 bottle of champagne, and 12 bottle of sparking/quaffers
I seen the red wolf blass won best sparkling under $20 (https://www.danmurphys.com.au/produ...red-label-chardonnay-pinot-noir-premium-cuv-e) and probably 6 perrier, which would fit nicely in our $400 budget (minus CR and gift card) would come out 340 ish
Has anyone tried the wolf blass?
Or would my $400 be better spent elsewhere?

Sorry, I don't have much experience with budget sparkling wines, but some people apparently like Pirie or Sieur d'Arques

The Wolf Blass is ok - its not at the level of Pirie NV etc but as you mention TS gave it best under $20 and recommends it as a cheap option for weddings.

DMs have Taittinger NV, 2 bottles for $92.
If you were lucky enough to get the Amex offer of spend $50 at DMs online and get $10 cashback, this could be combined with PP 5% off and WISH 5% off for the remaining $42.

$37.65 per bottle is probably at the limit on how good it will get.... sound right?

Some of us will remember getting this at close to $30 but still a decent deal.

I'm sure a few of us can beat that... I got a six pack for $0 by spending $1000 at Epiqure back in 2013

I don't think BWS deals are comparable to DM as the former are highly store specific.

Ah yes I got some of the "secret" FIFA world cup bottles, but can't remember the price. $200 for a six pack? Not sure if the "normal" branded Taittinger has ever been that low.
Hopefully they *excessively* sponsor the 2018 World Cup ;)

Just got an email from Dan's: 6 days of offers leading up to Global Champagne Day on Oct 21st.

Today's (today only) offer is Krug for $220- with some wish & cash back that easily becomes sub $200?!

Will be watching my inbox with interest this week!!
