Advice on champagne

Is it cheaper?

Ooooops! Just checked my maths and you're right slightly more expensive via BWS calculation that I initially provided.

I was thinking of adding the 2000 pts deal for spend $40 that I have as well...but just checked and that is not available for online spends. So best is buy in store and use WISH card + get the 2000 points.

I seem to have got into the habit of deleting the EpiQure emails unread - but just happened upon your post and I do like the Clouet range.
So thanks for the tip. :)

[post=1620555]Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz 2007[/post] and [post=1556073]Arras Grand Vintage 2007[/post] are wines of the year in Tyson Stelzer's 2017 Australian Sparkling Report

Cellar One apparently has the Arras Grand Vintage 2008 for $42.67, however I suspect that it might actually be the 2007, given that 2007 is the latest vintage listed/available on the Arras website, and other wines have vintage errors, such as the Stonier Reserve Chardonnay stated as being 2014, but supplying 2013 instead (though the Stonier website has 2014)

It is the 2008 - I bought a case.

Have you tried it AC? I also bought a case and drank a bottle over the weekend. I found it really closed and it took until the last glass (~1hr later) for it to open up and turn into what I thought it should be. I'm curious whether it was just that bottle, or if that is standard for the Arras GV.

Common Cruiser don't get all champagne snob here.
Maybe I'll brink this one and sit opposite end from you ;)

I'm looking forward to having some with Olivier - anyone else? :)

Yesterday we had some NV Mailly Grand Cru Brut Réserve (currently at DM for $45 a bottle). It was very, very nice!

I noticed Palmer & Co NV champagne is now available from a few retailers in Brisbane. I have seen some very positive reviews (e.g. Forbes). Would anyone recommend Palmer at about $60-$70 a bottle?

'06 M&C @ cellarmasters with discount and cashrewards is about $60/btl. HT to ozbargain so will probably be over later today, if not already!
