Advice on champagne

Price for the vintage is up to $219.00, now :(
I cannot get over the fact that Qantas Epicure can offer good deals on Champagne 20% off the Blanc de Blanc that is served in 1st only. Plus I get upgrade points QF almost 7500 per bottle purchased(350 about AUD)

Taittinger is the official champagne of the 2018 FIFA world cup, with a limited edition themed bottle! You know what that means ;)

They had the 2014 Brazil limited edition bottles too. Was there a run out then?

Hi all, first post and a really big fan of champagne.

Opened up Moet 06 Vintage and Veuve 08 Rose over the last few nights.

Moet 06 was unexpectedly nice, but had a orange rind/grapefruit finish which wasnt to my liking although I think some people would really enjoy it
Veuve Cliquot 08 Rose, coming from what is meant to be a stellar year in champagne, was utterly dissapointing. Really light and airy, no palate and no finish. Did not taste like champagne at all

Welcome aboard wineflyer - could it have been a bad bottle of the ‘08?
Thank you :)

It didnt taste corked or oxidised in anyway. I got them on special at a VC in Christmas last year - I know why they were on special now I guess!!

Dropped by the newish Sofitel at Darling Harbour yesterday, wonderful Champagne Bar. They had Louis Roederer Phillipe Starck Brut Nature for $25 for a 100ml glass (absolute bargain!). It was the first time I had it, and the first time I had a Brut Nature. Highly acidic and super dry (as expected). Acidic to the point almost sour and salty and briny. It was zesty, fresh and tasted like a stainless steel basket of lemons. First glass went down very nicely, but the acidity for me made it hard to drink more. Left me thirsty and craving apple juice haha
