AFF 2012 Inaugural Poker Afternoon and Dinner - Sydney

Have just realized I have Texas Hold'em on my BlackBerry will start practicing

Facebook also has poker (although it's a pretty average interface to put it nicely).

If you have a Mac, there's a great free one available through the App Store (called 'Texas Poker' which you can also use on your other iDevices with the same account so your chips are the same on all your games). You can try pokerstars as well (one of the sites that was not shut down) for free.

Also check out pokertube.com for videos on poker specifically. There's a wealth of stuff pokernews.com may also assist.

the easiest way to my place if you are staying over is to take the airport train to Glenfield stop, then a cab from there.

The cab is about $20

It's your night of course i'm merely suggesting. May help those unsure of their skills before they enjoy the evening of cards

After some discussions over dinner last night, Chee (Oz Mark+1) & Kim (my +1) are going to cater the event with an asian influence. Not a final menu yet but I believe very close to being finalised...

As this is quite an extensive and expensive menu, we will be asking for a $15 donation toward the cost of dinner from each person - I will cover the short fall. I'm hoping this will be acceptable.

Anyone else thinking about coming, remember, you don't need to know how to play poker, in fact you are welcome to come purely for the social activity and dinner which will be awesome!

Dinner sounds awesome. Missing out in the Laksa due to seafood intolerance is more than made up for by a "real" green curry. Mmmm, spicy
