Has the PM with the address details been sent? Hoxton Park is a long way from civilisation! ;) :p

It'll be a 40.8K drive for me (assuming I don't get lost) and I have never been in that area, lucky I like a bit of exploring on the weekend :D

42.1km for me according to Whereis.com.au (fastest with Tolls). Hopefully I'll get there quicker than the suggested 41 minutes ;)

From whereis.com.au

Distance: 959.5km Time: 11hr 20min (approx)

Lucky I am catching a Virgin Australia 737-800, I should get there a few hours less.

Thanks for PM munitalP!

I will be driving out there via Canterbury Road, Milperra Road and either Elizabeth Drive or Hoxton Park Road to get to Cowpasture Road. I was out at Wallacia a few weeks ago for golf and on the way back my eyes were extremely sore. It took me around 1h 30m to get back home and it was not fun at all....

P.S An airport for LCCs would be perfect out that way as the houses appear to be spaced well apart. And I did see a sign for Badgerrys Creek (4kms)on the way back from Wallacia and must have driven right past it without noticing. Badgerrys Creek must have been the 6-7 houses in a cluster I drove past. :p

Thank you MutinalP for the PM. Unfortunately I will be a late scratching. :(:(:(

The photos of the trophy and a chance to dine at restauratie MutinalP are indeed very tempting, however the flight cost is now quiet expensive, and I just got off the phone with my mother who is not doing so well, so I will be visiting her this weekend.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I look forward to contesting the second event ;):p:p

Today is the day! Pity we have now had 2 late scratchings and 1 new addition!

The smell of spices wafting through my house last night as the rendang being prepared from scratch and the pork marinade for the char sui was being applied made me realise we are in for a culinary treat. It was a shame last nights dinner became pizza as the kitchen was tied up for other things!

Right, time to go make the wonton soup base for the char Sui pork with bok choi and noodle. See y'all soon!

can't wait, should make the 5:15 wake up worthwhile :)

It better! :)

Currently awaiting the arrival of Bundy Bear and awilcockson in the QF J lounge at SYD (They're coming in DJ).

QF suck. At least DJ have their all-day barista (even on w/ends). I want a decent coffee and can't find one for love nor money :(

OT Actually there used to be a GA airport there.. it was shut a couple of years ago unfortunately.

enjoy the day there all, I'm off to a house auction then hiking outside Warburton..

Sorry I am running a wee-bit late. Departing the City at 330pm, so ETA 420pm!

Hope everyone is having plenty of drinks so then when the main event comes around, I may have a slight advantage ;)

Down to the final 2 in the poker game.
OzMark against awilcockson, Victoria against Queensland.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Thanks for the updates Bundy Bear!

My eyes are still sore and I am not about to risk trying to drive back later on tonight.

And the winner is awilcockson, a win from another Queenslander.

Any more action photos, field reporter? ;)

Congratulations awilcockson!

Was it pretty intense or more like a one-sided affair?

Pity I couldn't have been there, but we did have chilli prawns witha lovely Reisling and lamb with a Penfolds 389 2002 and a Noble One 2002 with dessert. Time for bed.

Congratulations to awilcockson, go Queenslander.

A great turn out and thanks to everyone for making this an awesome night.

Special thanks to Kim & Chee for a solid 2 days in the kitchen making some wonderful food. I think when the MKR style Char Sui pork served in Won Ton soup with noodles was served as a starter, everyone realised they were in for a treat. Chilli galore but with restraint to keep the wonderful flavours intact.

The beef Rendang and the Green Thai Curry with a Thai beef salad, heaven.

Thanks to Drew (who Hayden kindly donated a bed to so Drew didn't have to sleep on a camp bed) for the dealing and facilitating new players.

As mentioned, Awilcockson took out the Poker tournament - well played.

Oz-mark come second with Pete third. The way the game was played from the first hand to the last was awesome. I'm still scratching my head about my exit, how did my 2A get beaten by 2x9's? Oh yeah, another 9 on the river! Well done Oz-mark for that one ;-)

Emmanuel took out the cash game and is a few dollars richer this morning, again well played.

A few brave souls took to the pool later in the evening, it was like the final scenes from the Titanic movie ;)

I have bodies scattered around the house so hopefully many volunteers for the inevitable clean up.

Looking forward to the next one Drew or Andrew, the bar is set high ;)
