Just throwing a date out there.... but September 3-5 would be a good date I think.

The weather is generally nicest around that time of year and there's also a conference during the week leading up to it that I know a few AFFers will be going to

AFF#4 as in Brisbane?

I thought mid-October was a date thrown around, as early-October had some key members away.

Yes, as in BNE.

One thing to keep in mind with said October dates, is that it is around school holidays time so airfares are not likely to be very friendly.

I don’t mind what date it is, I just recall “about the same time” being used. Last year we were very lucky with that sale :p

Looks like the sale was in mid-June.

Indeed. As someone who has been to all the gatherings so far, it would be nice if 'cheaper' dates were considered as it is quite a way to come from PER. I would most likely have the highest cost on required airfares (e.g. people who decide to SC around to get there may end up spending more, but that's purely choice ).

I suppose I could fly OOL-SYD-BNE :p

I haven't even thought about AFF#4 waiting for Ozfest 7 to get planned and attended then I will think about AFF#4 in about June, for September or October.

Surely that's where your free AMEX flights come in handy? ;)

OK with any date (other than obvious exceptions like the festive season), just hoping work doesn't decide to send me overseas on the same dates.

They're already spoken for, for another purpose ;)

Plus, would only get me as far as SYD and it's still costing me $400 for the AMEX flights anyway! :p

I was thinking about this over the last week. It would be good to lock in a date, so that any specials that come up could be swooped on if needed :)

With Sydney there was consideration of some finals happening in some football code or other, which sort of made September a bit problematic.

School holidays are typically last week in Sept - first week Oct, so I would have though late October would be a possibilty as well.

My preference would be later October, but will go with the majority.

Maybe there could be a poll for the non-school weekends in Sep & Oct.

First in with a desire for an FLounge. Maybe SYD-AKL-BNE. :)

Mid-October (16th - 23rd) is probably not going to suit me, but then, not a being a key member...:p

Just trying to work out which conference this is...

Maybe this one?

SEPTEMBER
-6th National Homelessness Conference by Homelessness Australia Many Ways Home - Ending Homelessness by 2020
, 1-3 September, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.

You could save on accom by sharing with someone. Only this time don't each book a room!
