AFF Flight Tracker

Hi,

I removed AFF Flight Tracker from Tripit as I was having issues importing trips. Now the cookie hasn't been removed and I can't re log into Tripit from Flight Tracker. Is there anyone able to reset it so I can add trip it back in?

I am not sure what you are referring to in regards to removing AFF Flight Tracker from Tripit? If it really is a cookie problem, my advice would be to log out of both AFF and Tripit and then remove the cookies for both of those sites from your browser. You should then be able to log in without a cookie interfering with the process.

I get this error when I go to add from tripit

So your issue is that you cannot add data from Tripit to AFF Flight Tracker?

Have you seen post #241 in this thread regarding a possible Tripit issue and workaround?

I removed permission from the tripit website for flight tracker to access it. I have deleted cookies and everytime I click on the import from tripit button, I get taken to that error page.

I'm asking if there is a way for AFF to delink my flight tracker from thinking my tripit should be logged in so I can log in again.

At this stage, I don't know how to help you in this issue.

I do not use Tripit so I cannot replicate the situation.

Yes; takes a long time to load and the little search thingy will expand and take text (but no actual search). I've cleared cache etc (CCCleaner) - any other suggestions welcome.

Edit: I get the same result in clicking on my or anyone else's map.

Yes there is now a problem importing from Tripit to Flight Tracker
This is due to Flight Tracker now using the more secure HTTPS which is preventing the import from Tripit.
Fortunately, there is a easy fix: When using Chrome, on the (top right hand side of the) import box you should see an image (I think a padlock). Simply click on it and you will get the option to import from an "unsafe" page. Select this option and the import works!

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Similarly in Firefox click the padlock icon then click on the right-hand side arrow to "Show connection details" and select "Disable protection for now".

The banner stopped working a long time ago and we have not yet found a way to restore it. That said, you do now have a link under your avatar to "view my flight map" that leads to the same place. If you want a banner, my advice is to use this (I have already added your details so the link goes the correct way):

The image is from Flight Trackers main page and the URL is a direct link to anyone’s profile. Can easily be changed.
