BTW we should be able to avoid the F checkin lounge for D stickers ;)

For those of us originating in SYD what is the easiest way to go about the whole check-in process?

Most dont have the gumption for a self op up - hence she flies alone....but in style (well j* "style") :p

I sat behind her that trip & watched how she sipped the champagne while the FA asked all the scruffy people to show their BP. When they approached her, it was to top off her glass. Shameless!!

Since I'll be in CHC that day, I have booked my own New Year Run for 9/10 January. Double F/Lounging - Mon 9th on JQ3 MEL-SYD depart 14:35 and and Tuesday 10th on JQ35 SYD-MEL depart 15:15:D

JQ3 is currently $89 and JQ35 are selling at $69, although the price beat with TT corresponding flights both being $59.95 was useful.

As always early planning keeps the costs down:

YMMV. Could not plan earlier as was not sure of my movements (Although when the 3rd Dec was mooted I had already booked TT that weekend at a very cheap rate back in May.)

Meet outside or inside the T2 QP at 8 or 9AM??? ;)

I am confirmed for Christmas Flounging, be nice to have a poke around in the J lounge on the way back if a spot is available. Last time I did the the FLounge run, in the MEL QP on the way back, I was lucky (or unlucky) to try some very generous tastings of the wine they flog through epicure. If only all tastings I have been to were that generous.

PS I hope J* trolleys have some ice onboard this time, premix beverages just don't taste good warm. Especially after the Turkey and coke in the FLounge.

I'm likely for this one - will confirm in the next couple of days and will have a guest spot

Sorry I am unable to attend.

It's my 3 year old daughters dance concert and not able to miss it for any reason...

Anyone else flying down from Brisbane?

I'm on QF505 departing at 6am, to maximise F lounge time ... having said that, I've tried that twice now. The first time the power was out in SYD and we say in the terminal for 3 hours and the second time there were thunderstorms in BNE and we were delayed getting out by nearly 2 hours. Third time's a charm :)

I think an 0830 hookup at the T2 QP should do the trick. I will be already in SYD that day.

Sorry I'm out. I just have too much to do this weekend as I'm flying to Pvg 5 days later

You're planning to get the JQi BP from the SYD T2 QP. Where do you get these early ones in MEL?

I am currently on QF509 but haven't booked JQ35 or even the flight back to Brisbane, maybe I will just stay in Sydney. :p

Was thinking of traveling JQ Star Class, it is a rip off but 40SCs might come in handy. (yes I know you have to add the stupid $80 to the booking)

I am sure I will decide something after Wednesday night.

I'm on the same flight from Brisbane, hopefully we'll have better luck this time.
