Nobody is more thrilled than me at this news, now my taxi cost is down slightly :D.

Yes, I figured I may as well stay where everyone else is, and also cut down the cost of a cab/uber!

What seat are you in for the flight over? I know chicka is in 2A, I'm in 1E.

I can't access seat assignments in any of the first four rows yet as a pleb (no QF or oneworld status at all currently), so currently I haven't chosen . Only rows 5-7 available to me, none of which seem overly appealing, only 16 days out and all seats in those rows are still empty .

Some facts about AFF10 in the lead up the event that you may find interesting (or not)...

We currently have 41 attendees booked over the course of the Weekend which is a massive turnout considering the distance to travel for some.

27 of those are attending Welcome Drinks
24 are booked for the Welcome Dinner
20 are making the trek to Rottnest Island on Saturday
33 are coming to the Highlight Dinner on Saturday Night
19 are booked on the Sunday Bus tour.

The most popular hotel is by far the Parmelia Hilton Perth with 24 attendees choosing the hotel for their lodgings over the weekend. 10 AFF Attendees are Locals.

If you haven't booked for all the events you wish to attend there is still time! We still have 1 space available on the Rottnest tour with coach transfer back to the City and a handful of spaces if you make your own way back from Fremantle. Likewise, there is 1 seat left on our Sunday Bus tour. If you're interested in attending either of these events please post on the thread or send me a PM. First in, Best dressed folks!

A big thanks to everyone for getting your filling in your Registration Forms and Dinner choices. What was planned as a stressful weekend of matching payments to names turned out to be a breeze. If you haven't completed these forms (links in the Wiki and first posts of the thread) please do so ASAP. Otherwise I may need to choose for you.

We're getting close now!

A little late here.. apologies. I will be flying in On Saturday 12 on QF577 and leaving Monday 14th on QF642. A 50% bonus SC and WA sale helped me along

No rooms at the Hilton on the Saturday so will look at other options for that night and move to the Hilton Sunday

If any space on the Sunday bus I would be pleased to take it

Jeff

HAH - Well if you're going...

PS - Welcome jswong

Looks only as though they are enforcing a 2 night minimum for booking the Saturday night. Friday-Sunday and Saturday-Monday both show as available at AU$152-158 for flexible HHonors rate per night.

Awesome news Jeff, another location to add where I have caught up with Jswong.

Last time I saw Jeff was Wellington in March this year, only met him about 15 times in real life but I think we have met in about 12 different locations.

Yes I see now the 2 night stay thing. Shame no lounge at the Hilton. Booked there for the Sunday night. For the Saturday night I tossed up between using an Accor free night and the FP. Ultimately none of the Accor hotels looked too good so went for the FP (Four Points)

I look forward to seeing you all too. Even you penegal if you make an appearance!

Packing, completing my e-visa, buying last minute necessities, dealing with one of my banks bricking my entire online login, you know, the usual 2 days before I fly out!

Ah, that (not so pesky) e-visa that Australians conveniently don't know about when complaining about ESTA's :p:p:lol:

I've just added some extra availability to the Friday dinner. Didn't realise that it have gone to 'Sold Out' status online

Yep, goes both ways! 20 AUD donated to Canberra for the privilege of getting on a plane to Australia with intent to enter :D.
Travel agents can do it free of charge (although they will almost always charge a fee for doing it).

We have opened up the last two places on the Sunday Bus Tour.

After a miscalculation of how many passengers the bus could hold, 2 spots on the Sunday Bus Tour have opened up! These will disappear quickly so if you previously wanted to attend, get in now and secure your place at http://www.trybooking.com/LPLE.

If you have already completed a Registration form and wish to attend any other event, no need to fill in the form again. just PM me or post in the thread and we will update your record.

There are also a handful of spaces left for Friday's Dinner & Saturday's Highlight dinners. These are also filling up fast and can all be booked online. If you haven't already done so please fill out your Menu choices for both dinners ASAP as the restaurants have started to request these. The cut-off for dinner choices will be next 5pm (AEST) Friday (4th of November). If you haven't made your choices by this time I will make them for you ;)

In addition to the above there is also one Rottnest Island ticket with transfer back to Perth CBD. As well as a handful of tickets without transfer. These can no longer be booked online but if you wish to confirm a place please send me a PM. First in gets the transfer.

Less than two weeks to go!

So when do I need to commit by, 14/11?
