How are we getting back from Williamstown? By train? Do I need to get a MyKi card? As I will be at HOTP, I'll also need to catch the tram to / from the cbd :) edit Just noticed that a bus is being considered:oops:

TBH, 2 minutes is a little tight and I am not sure I would want to wait around the bus stop at that time of the night for very long.
Thanks. Sounds too difficult.

May head back to Qantas Lounge until closing time after droping off golf clubs at hotel.

I notice Goodonya is not attending.

Anyone else playing golf?

Bloody hell, I'll be missing out on Golf and Yum Cha on Sunday

Apologies JohnK. I'll be somewhere between London and Dubai. We'll have that round one day ;)

Thanks for this penegal!

Cannot make Friday functions but may be able to lob somewhere if there are late drinks.
Saturday cruise and Willy lunch - yes.
RAAF museum - yes
Saturday dinner - yes
Sunday option B (mainly for the company - I find yum cha food very meh) - yes
Sunday dinner - yes

PS. I am prepared, for the Saturday early walk, to drive behind the walkers, nudging them with the bumper bar should the pace slacken too much.

I should also add that, if QF36 is delayed and I miss the cut-off time for the cruise, I'll get myself to the next meeting point and join in from there.

Thanks. Sounds too difficult.

I would suggest taking the public bus one way and sucking it up and paying for the SkyBus the other way. This also means you aren't limited by time as the SkyBus runs all night.

Are you hiring a car, or did you want someone to pick you up on the way through?

For those staying at HOTP there is Jolimont railway station directly across the road which can be just as handy as a tram. (Hurstbridge and Epping lines)

Thank you organising committee.. This sounds great.

We are Melbourne people but might check hotel availability for Sat night.
Let me know if you need any more info.
It will be great to meet you :)

Staying at the Novatel Sat night.. loving Accor Advantage Plat :)

That's the one on Collins Street, is it? It's a reasonably decent property. Although I ended up choosing Grand Hotel over it given I'm too lazy to go to the other side of the CBD - definitely spoilt from my SIN-based days. :)

Yeah, I was thinking more along the line of getting to/from the airport since I'm arriving at 7.30am on Saturday so it's mostly about dropping off luggage and heading straight to the wharf. Wasn't quite aware of the location for the dinner when I made the booking.

But it's all good, 96 runs till some silly hours so as long as I don't nod off or forget to get off, I should get back in 1 piece, but if I'm AWOL at yum cha the next day, please kindly send a search party to St Kilda. :)

The Grand is perfect for the bus from the airport...rumour has it there will be a train soon?? Or am I being naive lol
I was thinking getting around at night (after dinner) might be trickier.. so I wanted to stay at the Sofitel but they wouldn't take points :(
Didn't expect to end up at St Kilda though!! These AFF functions sound like they maybe messier than I expected;)
