What is wrong with the St Kilda vs Port Adelaide game at Telstra Dome on Sunday at 2:10pm?serfty said:FWIW, Collingwood play Hawthorn on the Friday evening and Essendon Play Melbourne on Saturday Afternoon, both at the MCG .
JohnK said:QF009, if you are organising a pub/club crawl for late Saturday night please discard any places with a cover charge. There is no way I am paying someone to have a drink in their establishment. OK, I lie. I will pay someone to have a drink in their establishment but they must be able to offer a lot more than just a drink....
Nah. I would be content having a few drinks on a pub/club crawl with the rest of the crowd as long as I do not have to line someone elses pocket with wasted money on cover charges.oz_mark said:There are a few, err, 'Gentlemen's Clubs' around Melbourne that may interest you

The 'G is where it's at for Ozzy Rules! Also seating with a reasonable view is far better value.JohnK said:What is wrong with the St Kilda vs Port Adelaide game at Telstra Dome on Sunday at 2:10pm? ...
oz_mark said:I have never really been keen on cover charges myself. Haven't noticed any at the bars I have been to in Mel, but then there's quite a few places I haven't been to yet.

Just don't cater for one to the exclusion of the other QF009, otherwise they'll be two AFF events each day....

I usually go to Love Machine on Friends of Dorothy nights. Cover charge is $20. But totally worth it - the DJs are awesome and the atmosphere is electric.
I'm still pondering on whether the pub/club crawl is a good idea as dinner is likely to go on for a while. So we might just have drinks, then those who are keen to party the night away cango on to check out a few different places.

I would have to listen to your advice as I have not been to either ground. Anyway Essendon vs Melbourne on Saturday afternoon may have more appeal after watching that awful St Kilda performance against Port Adelaide on Saturday night. Get rid of Ross Lyon and allow the team to return to one of the best free flowing attacking teams in the competition instead of attempting to play defensive football.serfty said:The 'G is where it's at for Ozzy Rules!
