At this stage I plan to stay there on one or both nights though not sure which just yet. I've made a tentative booking for both nights.
Flashware you are welcome to one of the cards if you wish.

I will take you up on that offer then, thanks. What do I need to do ? Would like to book ASAP...

I'm afraid that my attendance would be more likely dependent on finding a room at Formule1

I'll keep thinking about it......

If I don't wander elsewhere....

Is it too late to put my hand up? If not, I would like to be marked as Interested.

In any case, I haven't posted on AFF for ages, and I'd at least like to reply to get the forum subscription so it'll start bugging me in my email box.

I have no flights, no accommodation, no events booked as of yet. Am I shaving thin or missed on any deadlines?

You're very much welcome. :)

Sorry for relative inactivity of late. Been swamped with uni assessments. Rest assured that I'd finalise most things by the end of June before I go off on holiday. Which means y'all have up till then to decide which AFL match to go for. :)

And we potentially have our first intercontinental guest (Evan doesn't count since he's really from MEL :p), all the way from LA - he isn't a member of AFF but will be visiting MEL around the same time and has expressed interest in joining us (subject to flight availability on new dates :-|). You might recall him from one of my TRs here, so let's just consider him an honourary AFFer.

Oh and please advise of any guests you might be bringing, so that I "have the numbers" when I make bookings. :)

I will be there Fri, Sat night, and Sunday, but have a conference 0900-1700 on the Saturday. So if you have to reserve anything during that time, it's n-1.
Looking forward to it!:D

I think I already mentioned it, but in case I didn't, unless there is a change in circumstances, I'm a non-starter for Saturday dinner.

PS: Re NZ - we were taught in school that Australia was the world's largest island and the world's smallest continent. Which leaves NZ continent-less (or incontinent if you prefer :p ).

Well there you go, I was wrong...it's been a long long time since Year 10 Geography (seems I etiher didn't pay that much attention or my memory is failing :o)

I'd better look at flights and accom before too long (goes off singing a Paul Kelly song)...

Actually I think you'll find a few schools of thought out there on what constitutes the 7 continents, including one embracing Oz, NZ and SWP as the continent Oceania. What's the right one? Who knows?

But the urge to call NZ incontinent was too strong.

There are various schools of thought as to the actual number of continents. It ranges from 4 continents to 7 continents and varies depending on where you live or where you went to school. What's the right number? They are all right!
