AFF Luggage tags - some ideas

Quite frankly I am appalled as to where this thread and consequently the project has gone.

Couldn't agree more.

I do not see my post count increasing much from here on in...

This is a real shame. I hope munitalP reconsiders. This would be a major loss to AFF. I know there are many, many members who are also "appalled" by some of the comments made in this thread, and are fully behind you Gordon.

be prepared for another round of arguing.

No there won't be. Enough damage has already been done. I'm now locking this thread until such time that I am advised as to what is happening with this project.

The thread is now open again...

I'll add my voice as one who appreciates the work done so far by munitalP, and hoping the tags are going ahead.

First, I would like to say thank you to all the people over the last 12 hours or so who have called me, messaged me on AFF, messaged me on Facebook or sent a TXT message to show their support for this project and to offer their support in ensuring that this project stays on track.

On that note I will carry on with this project to its completion.

I agree with this 110% and am totally appalled also , this is NOTwhy i LOVE this site.

Anyhow, back to the REAL REASON for this thread.

i (like Sam) would like to know , how many more tags we need to have bought to get production underway ?

Knowing this, May stimulate a few of us to grab a few extras, to get the project running ASAP,

I am sure all of us who have bought tags already, REALLY APPRECIATE the effort and support from ADMIN and munitalP Keep up the great work GENTS

For some reason I have never responded to this topic.

I'm in for 10 tags, I'll keep about 5 for myself and give away ones as I meet people on AFF who might not have one.

munitalP, I think your important post was #129 where you advised details. If my Paypal goesn't work, I'll contact you about other means of payment (I've only used Paypal once, so not experienced in paying using this method).

Great job, particularly to anat0l and you, for getting this project to fruition.

I'll be happy to buy another 5 if needed to sell the first run.

P.S. @ 2.37pm - Paypal worked :D (not as dumb as I thought I was)

Glad to have you back in charge of the run Gordon............

Cheers Dee

I think munitalP has done a great job, and I am on the bandwagon definitely;)

If we need a few more to push it over the line I'll get a few more addtional tags, on top of the 4 that I have already locked in.

With the spare tags, I'll wear them around my neck at the next AFF gathering, and you can barter them off me in exchange for a beer   ;)

Just as well there's lots of low value, low quality beer out there ;)

munitalP, you're doing a great job. Thanks and great to have you back on the trolley!

Please, LW, I have no credit to claim in this project. In fact, I'm gravitating towards munitalP's simpler tag designs (given that intricate photos don't make for an easy printable tag). The real leg work, the guts, the gears (insert other meaningful metaphors here) do not belong to me one bit, and I don't deserve your praise or from anyone else.

Mr!

Thank you for your all efforts and for soldiering on.
Do let me know when you need me to get the additional 10 tags.

Occasional poster (you all know more than I do) but frequent reader (but not last few weeks hence late response).

Thanks munitalP For this great idea and all the effort you have put in on our behalf, much appreciated.

Have just ordered 4 tags (2 to use and 2 for spares) but happy to buy some more spares if needed.

mhen

PS Reckon I have saved thousands over the last few years with ideas from AFF and FT. Buying a few more tags is the least I can do to say thank you and you never know I may get to meet another AFF in person.

Having read through this thread, in the interest of maintaining and promoting the spirit of the AFF community, I make the following comments and observation:

munitalP has put in a huge effort to get the project underway. Participation in the project is optional and if anyone does not believe the price at which tags are being offered represents reasonable value, then do not feel under any pressure to purchase any.

It is my interpretation of the posts in this thread that there has been some misunderstanding of the intent of some comments, and that has unfortunately lead to further misunderstandings and misinterpretations.

So from this point forward, if you are not wanting to participate in the project under the terms that have been outlined by munitalP (pricing, payment options, delivery, design voting etc), please refrain from posting further in this thread.

Thanks NM
