Thank you munitalP, and everyone else who has contributed. I have just placed my order. Only 2, but I only put tags on hand carry these days, stupid carousels or belts seem to break them off too often!

I missed all this - lucky. But seems I have a fair way to go learning to keep up a weekly commute and internet contact.

I want to buy some tags, probably won't use them at all as I'm rather embarrassed by my entry to AFF. But I will note that MunitalIP is the only person to "befriend" me here. So that tells me he can forgive newbies who make dreadful mistakes in early posts, without intending to meaning anything offensive. The bottom line is that MunitalIP and all helpers have done an excellent job.

But to my point, is the final design somewhere. I've scanned about half the thread and can't find anything, but there was some mention of a poll of designs to close by the 24th. Has that happened?

I'm also not keen on paying with paypal, despite using it for gold AFF, not because of cost but because of the dudious ebay payment guarantee, which seems to unfairly imply that it actually protects sellers and buyers.

So please where is the design. Next I'll buy 2 or 3 to support this project.

The design hasn’t been chosen as there are a number of entries so far to it, but munitalP’s last design seems to have garnered a lot of support, and that is located in this post. This is not confirmed to be the final design, but I think it might end up being the chosen design, albeit with a few cosmetic changes as needed.

anat0l also posted some good designs closer to the start of the thread.

As for no friend requests, I can’t recall if I’ve met you or not but one is on the way.

I wasn't spurking for "friends", like many things I have some opinions related to such things. But I will happily accept.

The earlier posts in this thread, particularly the sense of community and people giving up their time to organise things for others, inspired me to join AFF after the aforementioned frequent lurking....

... as I continued through the thread I felt a gnawing in my gut, accompanied by a cold sweat, as to whether I had made the right decision!

However, it's great to see the community spirit emerge triumphant and this project back on track.

Anyway, just my 2 cents on the rollercoaster ride and the (so far) positive outcome.

I'll put myself down for some tags, too!

Personally I thinks a combination design of Munitialp's with the darker blue background of Anat0l's.

With Anot0l's designs, you won't see the Oz map, nor flight board ''watermark"s from any distance.

But the idea was to choose a design after the money had been raised, I think.

I quite like munitalP's simple design; it has a good distinction which will fulfill its purpose.

I'd like a tag like mine but I do understand that it is too complex to print well.
