Yada Yada said:I don't like them. You've gone from too close together to too far apart now. I still think "levels" should be ditched altogether and this seems to be supported by the low number of poll votes.
Part of the low number of votes may be due to contributors like myself who never visit the Playground. It seems I have missed my chance to vote but that won't stop me making a suggestion.
This has been hinted at by a couple of "members" but I would like to say that the absolute post count is not quite as instructive as the rate of posting. So my idea of AFF "levels" would be :-
< .01 posts/day : Voyeur
.01 - .1 posts/day : Dabbler
.1 - 1 post/day : Contributor
1 - 5 posts/day : Enthusiast
> 5 posts/day : Raincoat-wearing Popinjay (or Troll)
Anyone with less than 10 posts should be classified as a Nonentity.
I also agree that ratings systems are generally a pox. You soon get to know who is a good source of info and who is a prattling, intolerant, hypocritical, mischief-making, chardonnay swilling socialist ratbag.
But enough about my good side ....
Cheers,
Andrew
