AFF Ski Trip 2014 [Falls Creek July 25-28]

Am now definitely out unfortunately, spent the weekend doing some work on an IP and unfortunately didn't get it all done so will have to be back at it this coming Saturday. Hopefully next time!

So mine are the only skis in the chariot so I will remove the ski rack from the roof of the chariot unless there are any late comers? We do have fog at MEL today after all so that might change a few travel plans!

I have been to Mt Buller for the last two weekends, and let me say, Sunday just past was superb.

I suspect you are in for a real treat with the snow, let's just hope the forecast holds up!

Yep I can certainly vouch for the conditions, probably the best snow I have experienced at Falls in my 17 years in this country, and as you can see in the picture masses of people !!!




The AFFers enjoyed the terrain on offer and certainly made the most of their ski passes



As for the Santa experience ....well yes he was there too. The Easter Bunny I hear you ask...well not this year. But Pete the Snow Dragon was there and looking pretty good after his valiant efforts making all that snow a few weeks ago !
As a special treat he lent me his feet for a few weeks which Mini UXB was most impressed with !!

Looks like great fun... I am sad that I missed out on this one.

The board meeting I attended was productive and I even had some time to meet up with AFFers/FTers in that part of the country, but I am very jealous of the snow :shock:

It was a great weekend.

We had some fabulous skiing with some awesome snow. I am hoping to sneak up again this year.

Thanks to Danger UXB for the pre dinner drinks and nibbles, and AIRwin for dinner itself on Friday.

I only discovered on the weekend that it was Danger's first AFF do, so I hope it will not be too long before the next.

I think if we run this again next year, I might have to time it with Diana Lodge's Christmas in July again. Great fun.

I would consider coming along next year (assuming it's held again) but I get the impression my snowboard won't be allowed
