I think potential cost is a valid concern.

That said, the sooner we actually decide, the more "sales" between now and then, so AFFers can take advantage of cheap flights and hotels to attend.

As soon as this poll closes the 'date' poll can begin.

So this thread should really be called the "Second last decision"? :p :p

False advertising I say...

Which is my question. Why have they assumed a date, then looked at coatings and then decided it's too expensive?

It was an example. A number of months have been mentioned in several threads; I was costing "worst case scenario" which for September was about $600. Flight costs affect me as I don't earn big $$ and therefore influence my vote.

an excellent area of parks and gardens (and a music venue, war monuments and government house)

Government House will be an excellent choice. There do seem to be a lot of princesses on this thread

While I love the idea of CNS, the simple fact is I wouldn't be able to justify the extra time and money to get there this year.

I have - an excellent area of parks and gardens (and a music venue, war monuments and government house). All right on the city's doorstep and ignored by most of the inhabitants.

Perhaps we should have an AFF BBQ in the park :p

That's very close to where I live :)
I would say Albert park is a perfect place for an AFF BBQ. Also good opportunity to drink some fine epiQure wine :)

I'm certainly keen on CNS if the price is right :D

I think your last post should have been costings rather than coatings.

Possibly so but even if it didn't, paint is but one of many coatings.

Flight costs for personal travel are also a very important factor for me as the vast majority of my travel budget is committed to getting to work.

Is the recount still valid? If so, I'll vote for CNS! Bonus if it's held in winter - more reason to go travel up north to warm up.
