There is the same amount o space down that end as there is up the QF end upstairs.

I understand announcement is next Wednesday the 20th.

Isn't there already a spare unused lounge area right near the VA lounge at the top of the escalator? It used to say 'World Lounge: watch this space' or something when the new terminal opened?

Remember it is the regional J seat, not the fully flat one. Not bad for a 3-4 hr sector though.

True. But beats NZ's J product, and doesn't even compare to VA and QFs.

I'd even take SQ regional J to WLG over EK F to AKL.

Having just done CBR - MEL - AKL, with an overnight stay near MEL, then CHC - BNE - CBR, with a seven hour layover in BNE, a direct CBR to anywhere in NZ would be welcome!

I'd make damn good use of CBR - SIN, too. Bring it on!

Makes sense for SQ to tap into new markets without stepping on toes of VA with whom it has financial and operational relationship.

I should have added, that it sounds like the ADL setup. All the domestic checkin and lounge services are used, until just before boarding where pax head through secondary screening and passport control to a small holding area at the gate.

I understand that SQ & QF have int J lounges at ADL?

Announcement at 11AM on Wed (20/1) at Canberra Airport.

4 flights a week starting in August

Anyone wanna guess the flight times?

How about this:

SIN-CBR 8:40pm-7:40am+1
CBR-WLG 09:00am - 14:30pm
WLG-CBR 21:30pm-23:30pm
CBR-SIN 1:00am - 5:40am

I totally want to be on the inaugural ex-CBR.

My Amex card stands ready... though how long does it normally take from a new route announcement to the airline actually taking bookings?
