it is the first time i have received it

And i only booked my latest circle pacific trip today so its not like i suddenly became a high volume flyer
 
I've received the last 2 - no rhyme, no reason. I've barely retained platinum the last 2 years
 
I started receiving the mag around the time I became LTS so it could be a trigger.

Hard to say it's a good read though.

I'm LTS, (and WP) but don't get it - so the no idea who gets it and why theory remains unsolved!

I was referring to the mag itself. Yes, it is glossy, but that's about it.

I would be happier if Qantas appreciated my spend and loyalty with them in some other way.

LTG here and nought to be seen in my Mail Box.

Back in the 90's QP members would get a Qantas Club magazine - more glossy fluff (except for the time in 1998 when I won a trip to the Emerald Isle:cool:).
 
I received my latest copy last week, and honestly I don't see what value there is in it, and why they go to the expense to print it.. There is nothing of value in it at all to me.

There may be nothing of value in it to you but the value is in it for Qantas. Look at the ads in it. Most magazines, newspapers etc get most of their revenue from the adverts. And how easy to sell the adverts when distribution targets those either spending a lot of their own money (Watch and fashion accessories opportunities) or other peoples money (Car sales opportunities to be offered back as company vehicle).

Having said that I was a little Chuffed I qualified for the 1st edition. Now that I have not got any more I am feeling a little unloved - even if it went straight into the recycling.

I to was feeling unloved with everyone talking about thir next edition. Then sure enough mine arrived today. Qantas do love me still.:D

Lets see if they love me enough to upgrade us next week SIN-LHR:p
 
Nothing here - I'm about to hit 3000 SCs less than half way through my membership year.
