Now if it was the Yanks it would've already been approved.

I was rejected earlier in the week for the same reason. Must have had all our applications on hold until the T&C's got updated then rejected in bulk.

Just a quick data point: they matched my VA Gold to Topbonus Gold, but only on the account that is registered with my German address. Oneworld Sapphire status until Sep 16. Happy!

Anybody had any trouble with Qantas Lounge dragons not allowing entry unless this card is printed on your boarding pass??

Mrs aaronjames was denied access to the Brisbane QF domestic lounge this morning unless she let them change her boarding pass.

She has been successfully using this card to gain entry into the lounge on many other occasions, all while still collecting QFF points and status credits so she wasn't going to be having any of that.

She informed the lounge dragon that she was incorrect, and the airline you are crediting to has nothing to do with access rights... lounge dragon was insistent, not printed on boarding pass, no entry... so she politely told her to bash it.

Anybody else run into lounge dragon issues???

There have been quite a few reports of this.

Lounge agents are confusing Qantas rules with Oneworld rules.

Qantas can do what it will with those using QFF credentials, but not so with (non QF) oneworld Elites.

I have QF gold until Oct 16 and Avianca Brasil Gold (*A) until 2018. Is there any point in matching this now? I'm thinking it might be better to wait until closer to October 2016 when my QF Gold expires...and then match with that, or even the Avianca Brasil Gold.

I don't think it is available for Australians any more. According to the site it is restricted to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and USA. Of course if you have an address in any of those countries then it should be doable.

Just a brief update, they matched VA Platinum to AB Silver for me. Replied and asked about Gold - no dice. Sent them my Alitalia Platinum and was matched to Gold. Valid until 4/17.

How are my chances getting lounge access while waiting for my card to arrive?

I was a bit shocked yesterday when I received this in the mail.


I did the status match last year when I visiting Australia with no OW Status. I had domestic QF and VA flights booked, so it had helped. Funny a year later, I am OW Emerald, twice over. I actually never credited Air Berlin so I was a bit shocked to see that they dropped me to Silver.
