My new Air Berlin Gold card arrived today. Matched from Etihad Gold (deceased), matched from Qantas Gold (deceased). Came with luggage tags too.

Has anyone used it to gain entry to Qantas Pub yet?

No, but when mine turns up I am going to enjoy trying.

I plan on using my AB gold card entering QF lounge flying BA crediting to AA.

Amazing response time.
Sent mine off, with no particular interest last night, and the match came through around 2am this morning.
Matched to TK Elite.

Still not sure that it will provide much in the way of benefits for me, alongside the existing QF and TK for OW and Star Alliance, but can't complain about the two minute time investment in the process.

My wife used hers successfully yesterday (Brisbane and Townsville) and today (Brisbane and Rocky)....

She had her Qantas Silver FF number on her boarding pass and just flashed the Air Berlin card at lounge entry... got "Oh wow... haven't seen one of those before... come right in"

Glad we matched her QF gold (before it expired last year) to Etihad Gold to Air Berlin and Turkish Elite! She thinks those silly FF card matches are not so useless afterall now!

Did you get AB Gold? When I tried to match from Air NZ Gold I was matched to AB Silver.

Is there a finite period for this to be running? Don't really need it ATM however it would be of more benefit when QF drops again in November.

I matched QF to EY and then AB. Air Berlin was quick, no hassle. Tried with Turkish, no such luck.

My AB Gold came through last night on email.

Little story to that...

Hold VA Gold till 12th June (i.e not long to go) and TK *A Gold however lost my TK Gold card and therefore couldn't provide my picutre of the card, as screenshot was unacceptable.

30th May my replacement TK Gold card arrived and I found my old AB email and promptly replied/attached proof (remember my TK Gold expired 1 day later) - Email confirming AB Gold arrived this morning in my email, checked account and confirmed.

Won't have the card for when I travel on Friday but you win some and you lose some.

Used my Air Berlin Gold on VA454 yesterday(DRW/BNE). Priority checkin lane, lounge access and priority boarding. I'm only Velocity Red.

Very nice experience. Took everyone by surprise. Checkin thought it was Etihad, lounge person had to run a check but was very welcoming once I passed muster.

Love the Darwin lounge too.
