Mine shows Emerald, too. But it looks as if all the reports so far are from existing OWE holders.
Could it be carrying across from the QFF Plat/Plat1 status?

Yeah I recall you had to agree to receiving marketing material to receive 500 bonus miles.. something along those lines.

I was matched from VA gold. My Top Bonus shows emerald like others. My QF status is a lowly silver. Wouldn't that be nice if the card comes in the mail and shows emerald!

I will have to resort to AA Platinum Challenge to get OW Sapphire.

Finally success. Fourth time lucky after finding my physical EY card (which expires next week)

I was matched from VA gold. My Top Bonus shows emerald like others. My QF status is a lowly silver. Wouldn't that be nice if the card comes in the mail and shows emerald!

I wish they matched my VA Gold I don't know how long I can wait for my TK card...

I got matched to my EY Gold that expires next week too. I'm still waiting on a further EY match (matched to QF Plat using a new EY number and email).

Any ideas on how to get actual VA Gold? Or when flying VA can I credit to VA but use EY card for lounge access?

My statement is showing OWE as well (and the little card picture is also showing the green oval)

Only showing OWS online though.

They may only allow access if you have credited the flight to your AB account (ie it's on your boarding pass). You cant have it both ways (credit to QF but use AB for everything else)

Sure you can..... put the AB status on your boarding pass at check-in.... then get into the lounge.... then when leaving the lounge have your QFF number swapped into the booking (as you accidentally put the wrong one on at check-in) and get a new boarding pass issued...

No there isn't for OW elites accessing OW lounges but anecdotally some staff in the lounge seem to think there is.

The way I read it on the QF internet pages is you need to meet two criteria to get lounge access:

1) Have the appropriate QF or OW status; and
2) your next flight needs to be on a OW carrier.

Nothing else as far as I can see. So you would meet that by having your QF Bronze number on the QF boarding pass and then present your AB Gold card to access the lounge.
