This and other similar incidents are used extensively these days as part of airline CRM training.

The liked how they simulated people running to get out of a single exit... By offering them money. People in crowds need to be told what to do- when they panic crowds dont think.

If I had a fire up my bum in a single aisle plane, I'd make the "Road Runner" look like he/she was going backwards...........

P.S. What sex is The Road Runner ?

Cheers Dee

Definitely male or female :!:
What makes you so sure?

Reminds me a Goon Show discussion:

Visitor: Hello, Hello, Hello. What 'ave we 'ere then?
Neddy: Ahh, you must be a Policeman.
Visitor: No, I am not a Policeman.
Neddy: Then you must be a Policewoman.
Visitor: No, I am not a Policewoman.
Neddy: Then you're cutting it rather fine

Is it sad that I count seats between me and the exit - also noting who looks like they are going to be painful ?? ;)

I remember on a qantas flight a few months ago the fa asked if everyone was happy with sitting in the emergency exit - one guy laughed , the head fa moved him without question saying that 'safety was serious'!

btw Road Runner is Male - unless he picked up the acme drag kit

Who you have seated in the exit row can make a lot of difference in an emergency, as evidenced in this accident:

This is quite a significant event for the number of different things that went wrong, contributing to the final result, and the changes that have been put in place in terms of Air Traffic Control, Exit Row Management & Aircraft Lighting/Illumination from the rear. Only two fatalities on the 737 happened to those still in their seats, I am surprised it has not yet featured on the TV series.

I believe the one is coming up , as they seem to draw parallels to this flight . Good Researching there markis10.

madness! I watch it the night before or before going to the airport.

much to my family's dismay :)

I tend to watch them on the flight ;)

Jokes aside, I think these shows should make people feel safer and more comfortable about flying. The findings and ensuing changes from these incidents make flying a safer mode of transport (even if it's totally tragic that people have to perish for us to be safer).

New episodes are presently screening in the US.

Last week was KAL007 - 'Target Is Destroyed'

They're very conveniently being uploaded to youtube if you search for the episode names which can be found on the wikipedia episode guide.

I noticed an interesting thing. No matter what agency in what country is doing the crash investigation at the end of each episode when they are packing up their records they all did it the same way using the same, identical archive box. A tattered, brown archive box. Someone should have a quiet word to the props department.

Thats the only NTSB box approved for such use on the market.:lol:

I like their choice of Actors that play real people... often their physical appearance is very similar . EG the actor who always plays Greg Feith

I wonder what direction the show will take on in future years.

You would think that there is an ample amount of "incidents" that they could look at making into episodes.

I've actually seen one where the pilot had been a terrorist in a previous episode.

They seem to have a pretty small pool of 'extras' they use for the actors.

I still love the series but thought that was particularly funny:)

The coidcidence there is the 'actor' who plays Greg Feith being also called Greg Feith! ;)

There's not much you could get past that bloke, he sure knows his stuff!
