Can even do this online. No need to call.
Where are you seeing the ability to upgrade to works deluxe using a recognition upgrade online.

I get to the upgrade page and it's saying not upgradable.Screen Shot 2022-06-30 at 9.24.02 pm.png

Morning Guys!

I did attain 100 SP over the promotion period (so I should be eligible for full GOLD) but just checked this morning on my profile and it says:

"New nominated tier status effective Mon 1 Aug 2022: Silver

A new membership pack including your new card will be sent to you prior to this date."

However, when I open my virtual card, it still says I'm nominated GOLD until 31/07/2022.

Quite confused - is anyone reporting back anything similar?

I have noithing like that just the Qualifying Status Points bar which says I have until 5 August to retain Gold. However I say this on the Air NZ website. Not sure if it applies?

"This Frequent Flyer Status Extension will be redeemed, if required when we assess our Members' accounts at their Requalification Date and all previous tier extensions have been utilised. The Status Extension credited on 31 January 2022 to Gold and Silver Members must be used by 31 March 2024 and if not used by this date, will expire from the Member's account."

Yes, this is what I got too. Like i mentioned earlier a chunk of my 100 came from over 12 months ago, but after signing up for the promotion. Not sure if this is not counted towards

Interesting - at least I'm not the only one. All my SPs came from post August 2021 so all still within 12months. Maybe it's a manual check and upgrade from AirNZ, which hopefully they'll do soon?

Yes mine is the same. My points were only earned a month ago

My account has now just changed from being downgraded to Silver to being Gold until June next year with an incentive to go for "Elite".

Did you fly much with Air NZ? I am lucky if it is one short haul international a year as I want to keep up my SCs with Qantas.

Just logged back in and now notice this from them. I havent seen it before

.....On 31 January 2022 we provided a Tier Extension to our Elite, Gold and Silver Members. For Gold and Silver Members this Tier Extension will be used to protect you from downgrading. The 12- month Tier Extension will expire on 31 March 2024 if not required, or earlier if you upgrade a tier. Members who held Elite status on 31 January 2022 received an Elite Banked Year.

Same, me too! Must have been a manual change done by AirNZ this morning!
I wonder if they'll send us new Gold packs?! I hope they do!

I clocked up 250 on a Trans Tasman, which included a single domestic. in May 2022. I don't suppose I will hear until my anniversary.

I didn’t travel on NZ, so I wasn’t expecting anything beyond the last round of status extensions but interestingly my app is now saying:

”Your nominated Gold status Is valid until 31 Mar 2027”

What does that mean?

The website says “Your NOMINATED GOLD status has ended.“ and a progress bar to attain Silver - which of course makes sense.

Are people receiving these notices around the date of their anniversary? I am seeing none of this except the progress bar which says 5 August. I've looked on the web and phone app.

Kia ora VPS,
We’d like to thank you for being one of our Airpoints™ Touch of Gold members for the past year.
Due to travel restrictions, the period to earn 100 Status Points on Air New Zealand travel has been extended twice. We reviewed all of our Touch of Gold recipients on 30 June 2022 and based on the Status Points you earned during this extended period, your Airpoints status has now been returned to your previous Airpoints tier. You’ll still be able to enjoy Airpoints Gold benefits until the end of July. This change to your account will take effect on 1 August 2022. You can continue to earn Status Points to upgrade to Airpoints Silver status by earning 450 Status Points within a 12 month period.
Please remember to always include your Airpoints number in your bookings to continue to earn Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points. There’s no need for a new Airpoints card as your digital card is automatically shown in the Airpoints tab of your Air NZ mobile app. You can find this by downloading the app, clicking on the Airpoints tab located at the bottom of the screen, and then tapping on the digital Airpoints card.
Thank you for being part of Touch of Gold. Don’t forget you will continue to be a member of the Airpoints Programme and enjoy benefits such as bidding for OneUp™ upgrades and earning Airpoints Dollars and Status Points when you fly with us.

I got mine through
Kia ora Jeff,
We’d like to thank you for being one of our Airpoints™ Touch of Gold members for the past year.
Due to travel restrictions, the period to earn 100 Status Points on Air New Zealand travel has been extended twice. We reviewed all of our Touch of Gold recipients on 30 June 2022 and I'm very pleased to let you know that with your Air New Zealand travel activity you have earned the required Status Points to become a Full Gold Member and receive all of the benefits of this Airpoints tier.
As a special thank you for your support and continuing to choose to fly with us we will be extending your Airpoints Gold membership to include one year of benefits instead of the eight months that was part of the original offer. Of course, should you upgrade to Elite in that time your Elite status will replace your Gold membership benefits.
We’re sure you’ll want to keep your Gold status next year too. To do this, you will need to earn 810 Status Points within the next 12 months.

So how many extensions are being given out to each Gold? I've had one.
