I've said a lot about the man and ball argument (which I don't believe in - you can hardly separate the two), but I think the point is that it's a pure attack on AJ and they want him gone. They don't care what it takes, so that is that. You said it was insulting - that is exactly what the authors are trying to do.

On PPRuNE, these kinds of posts are hardly unusual or rare, and it seems the board admin has no problem with them either. That may be purely laziness, endorsement of the point of view of the authors of such posts, or in the interests of free speech (especially if it were a more Chatham House like situation).

As it appears, most or all of the Qantas executive is not in good favour either.

Option 1 - Maybe AJ has been given advance notice that the Australian Government will change the QF Sale Act to allow an arrangement similar to VA and he is off to sell QF dom to EK (or part of at least).

Option 2 - Maybe JQ will be made a separate company from QF (and not covered by the QF Sale Act) and he is off to sell part of JQ to EK. This is a more plausible option as this has already been partially mooted by QF. I do not know how this would work in practice however as EK may want to move JQ upmarket to complete with QF mainline.

Option 3 - AJ's masters in DXB have hauled him and his mates over to DXB to explain why the JSA is not delivering the profits and customers originally proposed. EK appear to be having sale after sale recently, including double Skywards miles on EK5009 (QF9).

No need to attack Joyce personally.

His performance as Qantas CEO is disgraceful at the best of times. The people supporting him should seriously reconsider their stance.

Perhaps that statement is right. We all know it even though we dont like to admit it. He was only ever put in the position of CEO to ensure the company got in trouble. There are a lot of creepy people in this world who only care about their own selfish existence and do not care whos lives they will destroy in the process. And we give them crediblity!

Qantas has a small chance to survive and that is wthout Joyce. That is clear....

You need to see what the competion is doing and this is the way you learn but you also have to do it with a critical eye as well and say hey we do it better or hey I think we are not as good at this.

Every business has strengths and weaknesses.

Indeed - it's downright immature and pathetic. If people want to be taken seriously they need to act like adults.

It's amazing the amount of people (be it QF staff, random travelers or otherwise) who are experts at running an airline and see it as being so simple....

People praise JB as being some kind of god but isn't his airline having to turn to it's foreign partners to survive? Much of their money coming from the UAE as well but it seems they are just completely immune to any criticism at all!
