Looks like its talks to involve more of JQ in the partnership, I wonder at the expense of who????

Emirates, Qantas partnership review to consider Jetstar inclusion | Finance & Data content from ATWOnline

I honestly don't see how that would help, as EK customers wont want to fly them, and will still be hampered by the rule that says the domestic ticket needs to be part of an international ticket to earn points. I'd have said that point alone could be why Qantas isn't seeing much from the agreement, as EK customers who change their plans once arriving can't credit new flights, so they aren't locked in and thus might choose the competition, when really you want them locked into Qantas...

I doubt they're going to want to buy plus bundles and deal with the rigmarole of JQ flights being tardy to post... yes, that's going to ensure more EK customers fly on the QF group, once they've had a few bad experiences with lounges and points on Jetstar, and can't even book a domestic flight in Australia to credit as it's not part of an international itinerary.

EK already codeshare with their own LCC to over 30 destinations, its a fallacy to say EK customers don't want to fly LCCs when often they may not have a choice, especially with the mooted route optimisation being speculated on, goodbye QF PER SIN (not subject to JSA) for instance, and JQ/3K already have a significant feeder role to EK Asian services.

EK customers are price sensitive in the main cabin, not points savvy.

I just heard that the sign language interpreter from Mandela's funeral has been offered a flight in to Dubai for translation purposes!

Do EK customers/elite get lounge access when travelling on the LCC? Figure that may be a stumbling block considering moves of late to close lounges when it's only JQ operating? Do the EK flyers earn points (on LCC), and will they be happy to pay additional to receive points? I'm asking as I don't know.

Do you mean fallacy? "Phallacy" could easily imply something else :confused:
