AKL Dinner Sat March 9 2019

Dinners don’t need wikis, it’s a single event with a set start time.

It all comes down to whether multiple people (or a non-Moderator) want to manage attendees and details as a regular member does not ordinarily have the power to edit their posts beyond a 24-hour period from posting. The wiki system was adopted to facilitate this in a first-post-style, pinned to the top of a thread.

The alternative to a wiki regularly seems to be the listing of critical information on other sites, which seems to draw users away from the site, whether intentionally or not.

The info is listed elsewhere as its usually for the organiser(s), not the attendees. For dinners all that is required is a number or list of attendees.

Anyway, I shall not be attending as I won't be allowed to fly.

I have been having a look around, and I keep coming back to Euro! I think they can only seat 16 in their separate room so am still looking as we are now at 18.

Euro is always good. I know we had more than 16 in the private room for the last big lunch.

There’s always Giraffe, but no private area. Food is good and a lot of the Euro staff are now working there. They remembered me from Euro
