So it seems like the q streaming product is still making its way into the international rotation. VH-EBE is operating a few Singapore rotations in the next few days.

I think until EBM and EBN are done (and they have 4 of the PIFE models) this will continue

Cool. Still a little while to go then!

Yep and then after that you've got
QPJ (last 333), EBG,EBL (332s with SkyBedI) and EBO,EBP,EBQ,EBR (332 with the 2x3x2 seating) - all 7 will be about a month each likely done two at a time

Still no sign of EBN and EBM doesn't look like it's hanging around BNE. Perhaps a check as well.

VH-EBN back in service this morning operating BNE-SYD-BNE making it 11/18 A332s
VH-EBM the likely next candidate operating MEL-PER this morning.

Looks like EBM will be operating the PER/AKL rotations this weekend and then will operate QF652 to BNE on Monday night, arriving Tuesday morning. It's likely to then enter BNE maintenance for refurb.

From next weekend PER/AKL rotations are operated by a refurbed aircraft.

Got stuck with an unrefurbed aircraft this week returning from Tokyo to BNE on Tuesday night. Extremely disappointing with the old skybed basically having no cushioning at all, felt like cotton stretched over steel, entertainment screen semi broken.
Adding to the retro feel was the joy of being served by an old style crew member - one of the hate the world, hate Qantas, hate the Passengers type - who are relatively rare these days.

Yep, I'd wish they'd keep the last of the unrefurbished for domestic sectors: 2-3 hrs is a lot more tolerable than 7-8hrs, particularly when the longer sectors cost a lot more too.

It isn't going to be an issue for much longer on those routes where the 333's are the workhorses. Saying that if you gave me the choice of having a non-refurb 330, I'd take the Mk1 over any of the recliners 100% of the time.

Bit hard when it's mostly the 333s on the international routes, and there is still one non-refurb operating (most likely for only a few more weeks)

What annoys me the most is choosing a specific flight on a particular day that has the new layout only to find it has been "downgraded" to the old style recliners a couple of weeks out. This is domestic I am talking about.

It has happened the last few flights I have taken. The worst thing is Mrs W is on the same booking and they put us in different rows after the aircraft change! All fixed now but lucky I caught it.

I can understand a change in the last few hours but surely it is possible to keep a refurb aircraft on track a few weeks out

They are scheduled but if there is a mechanical issue etc, they will shift aircraft to minimise disruptions, rather than stick to the same config, and one switch can impact multiple flights
