ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

For those that have traveled on the refurbished A330-300 how are the Economy bulkheads? Specifically 24JK. Have sat in a bulkhead on the A330-300 before in the past and found it squishy with the leg room, is the legroom still poor or have they changed the position of the bulkhead?

Just bumping this question. Currently allocated 24J & K for a QF81 SYD-SIN and QF52 SIN-BNE both on refurb A333 birds in June/July :D. Hopefully the refurbs stay locked in... & I've put in the upgrade requests for both ways. But if the upgrades are unsuccessful, I'm keen to know the legroom for 24KJ.

I did 23K on an A333 between PER-SIN a few years ago and the legroom was shocking with the bulkhead... switched to 24K for all subsequent trips in whY on the 333 since.

With a 2-week paintjob, QPD can probably take QPCs spot when it is complete

Does anyone have any opinions on the best J seats for a couple. That's on the assumption the couple wish to talk to each other :)

I logged into AFF for the first time in a while tonight (and paid a silver trial membership) just to try and work out how I can tell which 330s have the new cabins (and try and avoid the ones that don't have TVs after spending a very boring 4 hours last week (I couldn't see the screen from where I was sitting!).

I haven't worked this out yet- but I see talk of folk getting extra miles for their being no individual entertainment? Is that just if you are in business?

Thanks Mannej!

I'm flying back to Melb on Thursday and can be a bit flexible as to which one to take, I'll try and suds them out!

Hopefully I'll get my 1,000 points for last week- I kinda made up for it in red wine however!

Assuming you are talking Thursday 19/03 EF is currently showing the new configuration on QF 802 and 648 and that you should avoid QF 762 and 776 - as always this can change.

Determining the refurbished aircraft with the new J is easy. The seating config is 1-2-1. No other QF aircraft has that configuration.

Probably a silly question - but how do I know before I book it (i.e. don't I first need to book to get access to the select seats options?).

Is the way people tell what aircraft is scheduled to be used public info?

And, if anyone has a second - can anyone please let me know if 766 and 768 tomorrow (18/3) are new configs? (or let me know how I can check!) ;-)

Thanks a million!

Using expert flyer (free basic subscription) allows you to check a few different flights for their seating chart

QF 768 Per to mel tomorrow has an old config recliner.

QF 766 Adl to Syd has a 737

Ahhhh - thanks Baggyred - I'll give it a go.

And sorry, I meant 776 (not 766).

Is there any way to tell if either of them have individual screens (or don't have).

Sorry to take up this discussion with selecting my plane home!!

Business Class on QF35 (MEL-SIN)

Hello!

Does anyone know the status of the refurbishments of the business cabin on QF35 (MEL-SIN)? From various bits and pieces, I gather that all QF35 flights should have the new business class seats by the end of March 2015, is that right? The thing is, I am booked to travel on 7 April and the seating plans for my flight on Qantas' website still show the layout for the old business class. Is that because Qantas has not made the necessary changes to their website yet because they are afraid that the refurbishment will be delayed...?!?

I would be grateful for any info.

Thanks heaps!

Re: Business Class on QF35 (MEL-SIN)

Considering that by the end of March, only 2 out of the 10 333's will have the new layout, it is in the minority.

There is no way with those stats in mind that the new configuration will be guaranteed on a certain route any time soon.

The old JQ birds don't have individual screens, all the others do.
