And only one more HA check this year, timing unknown, although N382HA is a good six months younger than N380/N381 so more likely end of the year

Flight next Wednesday downgraded to 737 :(

QF service desk won't move to an acceptable flight with the new seats :(

Ouch, Bullerdude.
Am trying to keep up with my tail trying to nab a 330 J seat on 11 Jun.
Have paid J fare but they keep doing an equipment swap to 737.
Changed my flight timings 3 times already on the 11.

As reported on theqantassource.com looks like VH-EBO is in BNE.
Last passenger service was on the 20th MEL-PER, then on the 24th it flew to BNE as QF6112.
Possibly in for refurb, or it could be some unscheduled maintenance hence the downtime in PER and special flight

hopefully refurb! since 3 a330s are in maintenance maybe because of the downturn they might be going to refurb two a332 at a time once qpj is finished. EBM and EBO are the next oldest non refurbished a332s. i have high hopes EBO is in for refurb

I am glad I didn't fork out 20k for an upgrade on QF476 tomorrow. Changed to workstation J around T-24, however the flight also looks chockers.

Not sure if I should try for the QF485 on Sunday morning, but still have a little bit of time to put my hat into the lottery on that one.

Flying QF19 today and of course I am very lucky to receive a non-refurb special woohoo!! At least it's a day flight...always trying to look on the bright side.

No love for MNL right to the end....

And now back to a re-furb. It must be frustrating watching the last minute changes with the 332 fleet.

EBO back out tonight operating BNE-SYD so looks like EBM will be as per schedule on 5/6

So, do those refurbishments take a long time?
So after this, all domestics are "done".
Not being one in the industry, I could guesstimat that it would take a long time.
Just that I have been chasing a 330 for the 11 June, so far got 13:00 MEL - SYD J, and 3 times, have had an equipment swap.
The 330 that was to do 20:00 got cancelled. Put to a 19:00 737. Phoned up, got onto 14:00.
That 14:00 then was swapped to a 737. Phoned up, got onto 13.00.
Now I do hope (wryly wringing my paws) that that will stick.
**((If it works out its my first QF 330 J service)).**

I'm not sure what you mean Poochie.
QF promised the refurbs complete by end -2016 and appear on track to meet that.
Each refurb takes about 4 weeks, or 8 weeks if combined with a C8 check

I have decided to throw a few points at my SYD-MEL flight this afternoon as it is a refurb. My first chance to try the new config.
Ok, cancel that. Plane subbed for ... no, not a non-refurbed A330 ... but a 737 - Jackpot!

So I have decided to delay my departure until 1700 which is when the next refurb 'attempts' to get me home.

4 to 8 weeks and end of this year, ok, thanks.
That means a lot of my possible flights this year will be swapped if I try to do that 330.
See Jessica, everyone wants the 330 whether they wan to admit it or not.
To a lot of people, a plane is a plane is a plane, but to me, there is some benefit to flying a widebodied jet, even if stuck down the back in seat 45A.
Reminds me to, must go and have a look if my 13:00 MEL - SYD has been swapped to a 737.

Well that's a bit of a chase! Red eyes out of Perth I think are pretty reliable but I guess it also depends if you want to stay awake for food which I don't think I ever have? Maybe a morning drink. I'm sure you'll get there!

I have done the 747 QFd PER - SYD, left PER a bit after 12:00 midnight, got to SYD at sunrise.
Was my first and only QFd on the 747 in Y.
Did the QF8 (I think) BNE - SYD also on the 747 in J.
Both these flights were long ago now, so thats why I want the 330 J just to feel what its like domestically.
So far the 13:00 is still showing 330, wry grin, I am just hoping I get to feel it, J on the 330.
As I told the QF call centre agent during my last call, (don't know if they note it somewhere), that if my 13:00 flight is swapped again, I am not phoning up again.
Enough chasing.
Lucky for those of you who have felt the upgraded QF 330 domestically on internationally.

Are you in the J lounge now? I'm next to RR 2
I would have just left. Pity, as I was just thinking it has been ages since we last crossed paths.

Well I enjoyed my first taste of the new config. The staff seemed to still be getting used to it which surprised me. I would have thought the refurbs would have been around long enough for them all to be familiar with them.

A great improvement over the old product.

Footnote: I flew on the same aircraft (VH-EBD Traralgon) in October pre-refurb.

VH-EBB into BNE on 22/5 for a check.. With a similar 12-day timeframe to EBC will be out just in time for EBM to go in as reported on 5/6

QPJ due out any day with QPG expected to go to SIN for repaint on 3/6
