FWIR, Sakura lounge doesn't have showers. But the QP, at that time of year, is FULL of noisy bloody children with parents who don't control them.

OT, but - the Lounge dragons seem reuctant to do anything about the little "darlings" but try showing up with more guests than you are entitled to!

Most annoying when parked in from of a PC (or MAc) as a babysitter when I and others only want 5 minutes to check email etc

After some consideration, I've decided it is probably better to do a US status run in February, as then I'll retain the status for 24 months instead of 14.

Are all the ex HNL SC runs bad value these days or is it just best to fly to lax and go from there?

My positioning would either be JQ *Class to HNL or a JASA to LAX ex bne.

From there I can just continue my japan holiday by getting an award seat DFW - NRT on AA.

The really good HNL ones (like BOS for $750 o/w) have long gon e.

There is some value in HNL to some Caribbean locations , especially if you can route via LAX-DFW-JFK ...

Also some routes ex Nevada ...

Would that be ex-LAS? What routes? I don't mind multiple MRs. I would have 6 days up my sleeve in Dec.

I would but SQ love 'enhancements' more than QF and by making sure you can't get J saver awards on any of their new aircraft they've annoyed me enough to look for other alternatives :)

There you go, didnt know that. Work just books them but if it was coming out of my own pocket I would look more closely

Out of ADL wouldnt it be reasonably ok to connect to
SIN-EWR; SIN-LAX;

Singapore Airlines -- Route Map

SIN-JNB, plus lots to the middle east:

Singapore Airlines--Asia & West Africa Route map

Actually checked that out a few times when living in Melbourne and it always took longer (every hour at home means less trouble with the wife). On the other hand when I fly to JNB from adelaide I have to overnight in SYD (normally leave on a Sunday and no early flight). Will look into that cheers

Booked:

SYD - BNE - TSV (JASA)

TSV - BNE - DRW - BNE - TSW (JASA)

TSV - BNE - SYD (Red e Deal)

405 sc's. Will get others by going SYD - AKL on LAN in january.

Good work! I need 520 SCs by Dec 31 to retain WP. Thinking of some ASA here before I go to the US on Dec 5 but I might be able to look at a status run while I'm over there. Based in New Jersey, near EWR & JFK. Any suggestions? I was thinking Aruba for a short trip.
EWR-ORD-MIA-AUA gets me 240 SCs for around $689. Any better options?

That's actually 230 (60+80+90) but it's not wonderful value IMO. Unfortunately you're not on the right side of the country for the 'excellent' value runs we've seen on here before, as most are ex HNL or NV these days.

You can always book a SouthWest ticket from easy to west for about $100 for repositioning if need be.

Virgin America (VX) have fares USD99.00 one way ex IAD/FLL/MCO/BOS to LAX & vv for travel on Tue & Wed 7 days advance purchase, booking by 08 Nov & travel between 08 Nov 2010 & 15 Feb 2011 see link below:

Exit Happier | Virgin America

Don't forget also it may be better points or dollar wise to do an ASA or JASA ex SYD/MEL/BNE to LAX or SFO and return & purchase a 'positioning fare' LAX/HNL/LAX via www.priceline.com
