Just applied through your link, got instantly approved. Hopefully your points arrive soon

Hi -

As with the above posts, I think this is an absolutely cracking card. Effective 1.5 pts / $ for Krisflyer, Velocity etc. Just over 1 pt / $ for AAdvantage if you wash through SPG.

Can also get 5,000 bonus points when you sign up a supplementary card holder, on top of the 110,000 you'll get by applying through my link.

Is there a problem with amex at the moment , none of these links work , comes up as a blank page.

Thanks Steady , the problem was my internet , did end up getting it working & used your link , application approved & hopefully points on their way.

Thanks Austff, it is greatly appreciated :)

I'm loving the redemption through Marriott for this. The card gives you 165k Marriot Points.

There's heaps of great properties you can redeem with at the 40k/night mark, with the 5th Night Free! I'm using it for 5 nights of NYC accommodation next year in a great hotel.

Good thinking. Remind me plse how to get the 5th night free.

It's automatic. Search the property on the Marriott or SPG site you want with the dates you wish to book and select the "Use Points" option. All the search results will automatically show with the 5th Night Free factored in on any search of 5 nights or more.

So I called up today to try and link my Explorer card to my Platinum Edge's separate Ascent program. Was met with a flat 'no can do'. Will try again when I can be bothered. In the meantime, I've been transferring all my points to Starwood (for lucrative Marriott Flight + Hotel rewards), so won't be too worried until my Krisflyer account needs a top up.

so today when I applied thru referral page I noticed this deal runs till 30/01/17 but on amex cards site it runs till 30/11/16 , why.

Yes, I'm wondering about that too. I guess they'll extend the non-referral offer until the end of January as well? I was planning on waiting until January to apply for this, via a referral, so I hope I can trust the date marked on the referral signup page...

Thanks adelee for keeping track of the referral progress for this card, I used your link to apply.

I already have the Platinum Edge and contrary to most people who have both, I was enrolled to the Gateway program on this card instead of Ascent. I hope I can link back to Ascent once I receive the bonus points.

If anyone is feeling generous my link for the card:

This incredible offer combined with being able to do SPG > Marriott > Travel packages is such incredible value at the moment. I have some exciting travel plans coming up.

If anyone would be so kind to use my link, it would help my plans a lot:

Happy to help you with getting the most value out of your points.

Thank you to the kind person who has used my link - the points bring me so close to 7 nights at the Osaka Ritz-Carlton with SPG-Marriott flights and nights. Nearly there!

Last time I surprised her with a ring (and an Airbnb with beds made of stone) - next time will be a bit more comfortable!

Try this one, see if it works - fresh from the AMEX site http://amex.com.au/refer/8Ld4B

I had another signup post in my account that I wasn't expecting, thanks to whoever that was :)

If you are planning to apply for this card, please consider my link
