Re: AMEX Explorer referral

Thanks for the advice guys. I have just applied and have received a conditional approval pending income docs which I have submitted. Strange though, as I was approved on the spot for a Charge in Nov 2015! Fingers crossed....

Considering this card? I thoroughly recommend it. Great opportunity to earn points that can be redeemed via a number of airlines as well as hotel groups. Annual fee is also offset by the AMEX travel credits you will receive (not to mention the very generous cash back offers often has).

But you need to hurry as the offer ends in just 10 days time!

If you use my referral link you'll score 10,000 extra points and I'll score 20,000. Co-incidentally I need just another 20,000 points for a trip to London that I have been planning for a while. Would be extremely grateful if you used my link J

I had an unexpected bonus come through on my account today, many thanks to whomever used my link

Only 10 more days to apply to get extra 10k points if you click my link here and 20k points for me..
Hope over to AMEX Explorer thread to get more tips..
And thanks to AFFer who contributed points into my account.

Applied on Friday 13th (!!!), received my card + welcome pack in record 4 working days on Thursday. Am excited by the prospect of $1= up to 2pt earning when linked to Ascent program and also the 100,000 sign up bonus points! However, there's still much time to pick up an additional 10,000 points when you sign up and get approved by using any of the referral links provided including mine below.

100,000 points + BONUS 10,000 points for referral is no small feat as it opens up to a whole new world of adventures with unparalleled conversion from MR to Mile points! It really almost is the everyday card for any consumers, regardless of their spending power. Not forgetting that you'll also receive a generous sum of $400 travel credit to be used on flights, hotels and/or tour packages, easily offsetting the reasonable annual fee. Note that the travel credit kicks in after having paid for the annual fee + minimum repayment after the first month. Been an AMEX user for the past 4 years and never once let down by their attentive CSR + service.

Needless to say, I'd very much be delighted if you truly think that this post helps by applying using the link provided as it not only brings you one step closer to that dream holiday of yours, but also mine as I will receive a referral bonus of 20,000 points. Afterall, it's all about giving and sharing to all those especially on this forum!

A big THANK YOU in advance to anyone who decides to use my referral link to apply for the card. Much appreciated!

Question on linking and delinking. When I got my Charge, I already held an Edge and the programs were not linked. I did spend the qualifying amount the day I got the card and the 120,000 Ascent Premium points appeared the next day. A couple of days later, without any initiation from me, the two programs linked. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them with Gateway? It would be a shame if it linked automatically before I get the chance to spend the qualifying amount for the Explorer.

I already have a Platinum Charge card with the Reserve as a companion card with points going to Ascent Premium from the beginning. When I received my Explorer card a few weeks ago it was linked to Ascent Premium. I spent over $1500 on the Explorer but as expected didn't receive the bonus points. I called up to have the cards delinked and once a Gateway account was set up and I spent over $1500 again I received the 110,000 bonus points following using a referral link here (thanks adelee).

Just wondering what your experiences are regarding the Amex Connect program with the Explorer card.

I can't seem to be able to add the Explorer card to my existing Connect login. And I don't see any available offers with the Amex login...

With only 9 days until the bonus points offer finishes, if you've been thinking about applying for the Explorer card now is the time to do it.

By using a referral link you'll receive an extra 10,000 points so you receive 110,000 Membership Rewards points if you apply by 30 January 2017, are approved for an American Express Explorer Credit Card, and spend $1,500 in your first 2 months of Card Membership and I receive 20,000 Membership Rewards points for providing the referral. I received 110,000 points for using a referral here a few weeks ago after learning all of the advantages of this card here on AFF on the "Explorer Credit Card (New AMEX Card!)" thread http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ions/explorer-credit-card-new-amex-77925.html as well as this thread.

Thanks to anyone who would like to use my link:

I thought Amex connect was only for bank issued cards?

There aren't many offers available atm

Yes offers for Amex issued cards are listed on your account page under "Offers and Places - Spend and Explore". In the past there have been some offers that were available for both Amex issued cards and bank issued Amex cards and you activate the Amex issued card offers through your account page and through amexconnect.com.au for bank issued cards.

Re: AMEX Explorer referral

Am I understanding this correctly, that by taking out this card I would be able to travel in a suite to Singapore, or to Europe in business class? Is it this simple? Apart from the mandatory spend of $1,500 in 2 months upon receipt of the card, what needs to be done to convert the Amex points into Kris Flyer?

That all depends on how many points you require to redeemed this reward. Have you had a look at the dates you want to travel and the points that are required for that flight? You don't actually mention where you are flying from in Australia. Different flights have different points requirements.

You need to link your AMEX account and Kris Flyer account or what ever other scheme that you want to transfer the points to. This is very easy to do with AMEX once you have set up your online account. Then you select the number of points to transfer.

I haven't looked at dates yet and I haven't joined KF yet. I'm fairly flexible with dates. Happy to depart from SYD or Canberra.

Re: AMEX Explorer referral

It seems like all the referral links are blocked. Can someone PM me a referral link for this card.

You're right they all don't seem to be working.

A PM wont fix the problem as people would just send you the same link which isn't working now.

Likely an AMEX glitch. Suggest you wait a few hours and try again. You've still got a few days as the offer doesn't end until Jan 30.
