My points came in today as the transaction processed. Not bad for $5.63!

Same for me today.

I hold two accounts (edge &a explorer), I'm thinking I might apply again on my other account - go pay the annual fee and then will know pretty quickly wether bonus points hit again or not. If not can cancel within the cooling off period

Are they both linked to the one ascent account?

Good point....they are linked. Does this mean it's unlinkely to receive two lots of bonus points? Even though they are seperate accounts?!

My partner on the other hand, has her own explorer and edge, but they are unlinked. So she potentially could double dip

I am the same as you, got three lots of points, but did not try with second card on the linked account to make it four. Will be interesting to see how it goes. Don't recall any other data points in the thread for this scenario.

How can it matter ? As per the terms and conditions points are still due if the second policy is for another person .

I selected Monthly payment option how long before they take first payment normally?

Might call them to make an annual charge instead I want my points! :D

Fair enough, but do you want the insurance? No point in paying for a year of premiums when 6 months worth will do the trick. You only have to wait 30 days or so.

I think I might give it a go anyway - if the points don't post quickly post payment/within the cooling off period, Ill just cancel the policy

5 days after paying the annual premium for my brother's policy, 20k Velocity points have dropped into my AMEX Velocity Platinum account.
This together with the 20K MR points via my Explorer card from last week.
An outlay of $134 (2 annual premiums) for 40K points. Very happy.

Got my points

Tried again with another card (same details) and got note saying application is being reviewed which was on 15/7. Heard nothing yet - so wonder if they've spotted its the same details and put a stop on it.

Wondering if I have another go with fictitious details (females aged 27 seem to get the cheapest quote)?

Thanks Desafinado (as a Portuguese speaker myself I like the name). I must have missed it in the threads but can you confirm this deal also worked wiyh Amex Velocity Platinum cards? I know that's what you've written but I just want to be doubly sure. Don't want to find myself out of key

Got the same message for the same reason and the charge was listed as pending cleared after 3/4 days and points posted. Is it listed as pending in your card account?
