I'm just thinking when it comes to cancelling multiple policies under the same name, it may be confusing and awkward :D

They give you a different policy number for each. Just refer to whichever number you are cancelling at the time and there won't be any confusion.

Gee you must all b very young i tried to insure my husband born 1949 and its 154 pm for 50 k

Got my 20k bonus a couple days ago, so signed up the Mrs on the other card. Sweet sweet 40k for Circa $50.

Hmm. Can I still sign up today? Didn't think 2 cards on one mr would work but seems like might as well try for $5 or so...

Not sure. Signed up yesterday with annual payment and so far not even a card authorisation. Wonder what will happen if the fee is charged outside the promo period.

Shouldn't matter . The date of signing matters . All those who signed this month on the monthly plan will have their first payment taken in August .

I signed up with annual payment on Friday evening and no card authorization yet either, is this normal? My Coles shop on the same day is already posted.

Bugger, didn't receive my AMEX cards in the mail today - hopefully they do this type of promotion again in the future.

Yes, probably show up in the next few days

I signed up a 2nd policy under my name and received the below, has anyone been contacted before? i did it on friday and still no contact..
Thank you for your application.
You've taken an important first step to getting cover.
Your application is being reviewed and you will be contacted shortly regarding the result, or if any further information is required.

This action is common. Sometimes they choose not to accept your application.

As above it is common enough, same happened to me, no contact made and points posted a few days later(annual). If you got cover the first time you should be okay the second time.

My card was charged today, 3 days after signing up. Guess no real risk, if the points don't post within the cooling off period I'll just cancel and get a refund.

My payment on Qantas Platinum Alex cleared a couple days ago but no points yet :( - will wait until Tuesday before cancelling

Points come through today :) . So I'll keep policy for a few months not to risk reversal.
