I don't mean to be overly obtuse here and I'm not doubting the OP, but I cannot see anywhere that suggests the bonus points for taking out the policy. Can someone kindly point me to it please?

If you did not receive anything directly from amex either via post or email then you will have to call them to get your proof. I did just this and they told me it was a general offer for new policies.

Several people (including myself as OP) have called and received confirmation of the offer. If you want 1st hand confirmation for yourself then I would suggest calling the number I posted earlier in the thread. Then you can ask them to sign you up over the phone at the same time if you want to.

I have not seen anything either, but I have taken peoples word for it and applied a couple days ago.
No monthly premium has been charged to my card yet though. Does anyone know how long it take for them to charge the premium??

First month is free.

My policy documents arrived today.

They stated, inter alia:

'With Ezicover Life Insurance you get your first month's cover for $0, meaning no premiums are payable for the period of one month fromthe start date of your policy'.

Also note that there is a 30 day cooling off period.

So I'd say no points will be awarded until after the first payment is deducted.

Thanks for the update.

Turns out I did receive an email that I must have just deleted. There is nothing in the email to suggest its targeted.

Signed up Wednesday paid $49 annual payment, got the 20k points last night once the payment was processed from pending

I was advised that points will be awarded 8-10 weeks after first payment is deducted.

See message #69 and you'll find that members are already reporting receiving the points soon after making payment.

Sorry, was late to the party and didn't read many of the back posts . Good to hear Dr Ralph.

Side note, upon hearing of this hack, Mrs WWW said that if I die shortly after the policy start date she'll become a suspect. :p

I have already signed up for this under my Edge card. I wonder if I can also sign up under my Explorer Card (they are not currently linked) under my name again. Wonder if you can buy 2 policies under the same name and whether the points will be awarded once for each card.

I've done this under two different cards. Expect to receive full points once payments taken.

40,000 points for $80 odd dollars sound good to me. Just to clarify both policies were in the same name?

Correct to both questions.
I applied for my self on the Edge, and my girlfriend on Platinum Charge with her sup card. Both cards are linked to same MR.
Do you believe I'll get bonus points for both?

No dramas if I don't, worth the risk for the sake of a few dollars.

A lot has yet to be confirmed, but my understanding is that supp cards may be ineligible.

Looks like they may have caught onto this. Minimum insured is now 200k so about $18pm min

**edit** disregard. I clicked the MyLife thing. Still seems ok for Ezicover
