Applied for mine already paying monthly, not a month in yet so will need to wait and see.

Just applied for the wife on another of our cards at $42 for the year. Will see if this one posts the points or not, if it does I might give it a test on a supp card as well just to see - you never know.

Supps not allowed, must be main or one per card account.

data point : i have sign up myself on both cards i own Explorer on monthly ( cards havent charge ) and David Jones cards ( opt for annual payment of $42 on 6 July but cards havent been charge until now 12 July ) people have reported charge for annual payment occur within 1-2 days .

Not sure if because same name on both policy or because the DJ card

First month is free. Unless you choose annual policy you won't be charged straight away.

I did choose annual policy to speed thing up , have received all the paperwork in the mail just not the payment .

Once the pending transaction clears, points will follow.

Probably three days or so.

I signed up last week for an annual policy. Transaction was 'pending' for about 6 days in my online amex account. It posted today and the 20,000 points came with it. Great result.

Have two cards with Amex, both linked to the same account.

1st policy was for me on 1 card, did it monthly, still waiting to be charged and see if the points come in.

2nd policy was on card no2 and took out an annual policy for Mrs, points came in the day the payment was taken.

My payment for the monthly installment as of today, will keep an eye on it and see if points post.

It took about 5 days , from application to points appearing, when i used my AMEX Explorer to pay for the annual amount.
I took out a policy for my brother by using my AMEX Velocity Plat. yesterday. Also paid the annual amount.
Let's see when will the 20K Velocity points drop into my account.

Look like there is no love for Amex David Jones cards . Annual payment have been taken on 13 July and still no sign of points as of today 19 JUL .

From what I have seen there was never the suggestion that this card was included in the promotion.

Hope you get your refund but from the email I received and also noted above (page 11 post #108 of this thread), the David Jones cards were not eligible for this offer: The following are not Eligible Cards: Bank Issued American Express Cards, David Jones American Express Cards, Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesale partner, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards and Corporate Cards

Nope. You appear very mistsken. Advertisement clearly excluded DJ Amex card. Not sure why you thought otherwise.
