AMEX Membership Rewards Not Tracking Correctly?

Mine as well. Emailed the team and they corrected the wrong transactions. Have been told by the person on the email there is a glitch.

Me too! Email sent. Those of you who have had your points credited, does it seem like that also solved the glitch or is it an ongoing issue?

Cheers,

Ellie

Hi - looks to be ongoing. Missing points manually credited, but new transactions still affected.

Thanks for the info - I'll keep an eye on it. :p Before I read this thread I hadn't even worked out where the points part was (not that I've had the card that long).

Mine works well. Also found out I'm a local champion at my local Coles! Didn't realise until this thread prompted me to check!

The 'glitch' is now corrected with 3x points earn resuming. Yet to be corrected for transactions made from 27/1 to 4/2.

i sent an email asking for it to be corrected as i had assumed it would be automatic but can confirm thus far it hasnt

Email sent asking for my missing 116 points. Not really worth the effort, but it's the principle.

Same here. Now it appears that points are posting correctly, but I cannot see any adjustment for purchases between 28th January to 5th February.

i have sent them an email to ask for updates, as posted by other members, my points are now updating correctly however the points i was credited with during the "downtime" have still not been fixed

Imagine if a bank's computer let it keep a few bucks of everyone who didn't notice they weren't getting the agreed interest rate???

I mean, in the age of handheld calculators with more oomph than the computer behind the luna landing, I can't believe all the stories over the years about Amex's 'manual' backroom corrections.

Who police's the accounts of everyone who doesn't notice these boo boos?

I raised this via email back in early Feb and despite numerous follow-up emails have had little success getting the points credited to my account? How best to proceed? (Platinum charge card holder here)

I too raised this via the online contact form and my points were credited within 24 hours. Admittedly it was only ~600 points, but still, they were very quick and apologetic.

Yep - I have a bit of an OCD to check my accounts daily even if I hadn't spend on the card.
Noticed the points issue and sent them an internal email (via the portal to report about the issue).

Coles transaction not posting 3x MR points for Platinum Edge card holder but the Local Champion was OK. Hah!

Followed up with a fourth email this morning. Got 2,000 points credited to my account as an apology for not yet having fixed the problem. Annoying but a satisfactory response (even though it took some persistence).

Interesting glitch, recently got triple points through a store that definitely was not a major supermarket (just a family run deli).

the financial ombudsman's manager of systemic issues is looking into mis calculated points dating back to 5k/5t promos in 2008.

Regarding the 'apology points', the fos's terms of reference say they can't investigate things if the card company compensates the cardholder so therefore cards give 'apology bonuses'. Maybe you can ask Amex to back up their apology with a bonus or else you'll ask fos for a compensation package for the angst and wasted time.

I notice that I have received a points adjustment dated 4/4 for the number of points that were miscalculated when this thread was started.
