Yeah AMEX is really quick with the points unlike the other cards I hold - you pretty much get credited points right after you spend.

As for the referral points, like someone else on here mentioned, I managed to get mine before I even hit the $1,000 spend.

Doesn't look like I am getting my 120K then - spent close to $2000 on Thursday and Friday - and I don't even have the points for the individual spends yet.

FARK.

Yeah, seems to be a bit sluggish for me too. Spent $1200 on the weekend and nothing yet....hopefully they come through though.

Have your transactions cleared? That is, proceeded past "Pending"?

Haha! What do ya know. I just logged on to check again and there they are!

Also a MASSIVE thank you to whoever has used my referral link to sign up in the last week

Awesome! Glad your points posted so timely. A referral sweetens it perfectly!

I keep checking for any surprise 60k points entries but alas none to date :P.

I spoke too soon.

The points popped into my account almost immediately after I posted that I wouldn't receive anything!! Haha. WOOHOO!!

I should note that I got my 120K even though I rang up and was told by the operator that I would not be getting any bonuses.

Again, if anyone hasn't applied and is thinking, I would be super duper grateful if you used my referral: http://amex.com.au/refer/duydPto8?CPID=100199913

I'm really please to hear that, it was certainly what I had expected would happen for you, but you did have me a little worried there for a while!

Enjoy your points haul!

Thanks guys - pretty chuffed with the outcome.

Quick question - how do I enrol my Hilton Honors and SPG for gold status?

Also, I had a priority pass account before with Citibank - do I need a new account now or I can link the old account to the Platinum Charge to get the access benefits?

I did my SPG online through my AMEX account, there's a section where you put your SPG membership number if you already have an account with them. I found it to be a little difficult to find, but eventually through the benefits directory I came across it. Hope that is of some help :-)

As has been mentioned to enrollment for the SPG and HH benefits can be done online via the benefits directory.

For the Priority Pass access you'll need a new Priority Pass account, which you can arrange by phoning the AMEX Plat Charge line. You can't enroll for Priority Pass online for some reason.

Hi all

the AMEX Platinum Charge 120,000 bonus point sign up expires soon!

If you have not yet taken the plunge on this card and are tempted by the huge bonus points haul (plus $300 travel credit, lounge access and elite hotel memberships, amongst other benefits), please consider using my link:

https://www316.americanexpress.com/...&mgmerSource=mgmerHub&MGMURN=AAAACg0MHhMXCg==

You can also read my blog post (which covers off the card benefits and some fantastic possible uses of bonus points) here: https://thechampagnemile.com/2016/07/16/the-american-express-platinum-charge-maximising-value/

Please feel free to PM me if you'd like some ideas / suggestions on the best redemption options!

I'll receive 60,000 bonus points from your use of my referral (if you apply in the next couple of days - the bonus reverts back to 20,000 points from 1 August). I am currently saving up for a first class A380 Suites fare to Europe, so your use of my link would be most appreciated.

I recognise the spruiking of referrals is probably a bit tiresome, but I would also genuinely appreciate any referrals that might come my way before the promotion ends as it will be funding a trip overseas where I will be proposing to my girlfriend (who thankfully has no idea about these forums).

Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to add that isn't discussed on here - it's shameless self promotion.

My referral link is: http://amex.com.au/refer/williw5hto

Yet to have any luck with this July bonus points bonanza on any of my three applicable cards! Having a last minute crack at it for those like me who leave things to the last minute. If you use this link which is being generated before July 31 and you apply before August15. You will receive a bonus point amount of 120,000 points and I will very happily receive 60,000.

Happy travels. You will not look back!
