AMEX Platinum Edge Referral bonus

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone would be able to refer me for the Platinum Edge card? I have just started building Velocity Points for a family trip to USA in a few years from now via a Virgin Flyer card. I am about to hit the minimum spend for a bonus 20,000 points for the Virgin card. I was going to wait a bit longer before applying for this card too but I would like to get it now and hopefully avoid a $199 fee and get in whilst the $149 fee is still there.

Is anyone in a position to be able to refer me?

Thanks in advance. This forum has a wealth of information!

I have sent PM to you

Good move jlo. Correspondence exchanges I have had with them over the past 24hrs indicates that Amex are about to increase fees on "new cards only". Existing cards remain at the same rate....not sure whether I believe it.

Anyone contemplatinga Plat Edge card should not delay or pay the higher fee.

Another nifty trick that I did this year is that you ring up and book on the last day of your year. You can then book for two people on the one flight using the free lights from two years.
I was just thinking of doing this for my free flight this year:)

If someone could refer me for AMEX Platinum Edge that would be awesome that would be great! Thanks!

I'd better get in before the fee goes up.

Hi guys,

I want to sign up for the AMEX Platinum Edge card and if someone could refer me that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks! :)
