AMEX rejection

Now I'm scared there is a fake default on my file that I can't see!!
You could just pull your Equifax report with GetCreditScore or the free Equifax annual credit report here:

I believe AMEX are using Equifax - I have a subscription with them and I can see they pull my credit report from Equifax monthly.

I have done this, no default as far ad I can see.

Ilion and experian reports also have no issues. Hope this just means I need to wait a bit longer.

i'm in similar boat, was rejected earlier in the year. When speaking with a customer service rep they implied it may have been due to churning. They specifically asked if i had opened and closed a lot of credit cards in a short space of time. i had closed 1 in the prior 3 months but had slowed down significantly.

I opened under my wife instead, haven't opened/closed any cards since so will try again just before her card annual fee is due.
