yes but what was their history of opening/closing cards like? I think a history of churning or them thinking that is the issue for most people not salaries.I know of 2 people who have been rejected lately on the AMEX Platinum Personal, one had applied twice and is on circa $130k pa and the other circa $150k.
Interestingly, the minimum $100k annual salary is gone, is there now a new criteria? or are the trying to close the gap between Platinum and Centurion?
Eligibility
To apply for The Platinum Card you need to:
- Have no history of bad debt or payment default
- Be aged 18 years or over
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a long term visa
- Agree to a credit check as part of your application
My P2 got approved for the plat charge on well under $100k salary.
