Re: AMEX Velocity Platinum Card - 110,000 Points / $349pa / $1000 Spend
I'm taking a domestic flight from Sydney this evening. I'm planning on using one of my two lounge passes that come with the amex platinum velocity card. I actually haven't physically received the lounge pass. I think I read somewhere that access will only be granted with presentation of my velocity card? Do they mean the velocity amex card or the actual velocity membership card? Also, if it is the latter, would my velocity number, boarding pass and drivers licence be enough to get in? I lost my velocity membership card a while back...
If you are taking a Virgin flight your boarding pass and Velocity membership number should be all you need. My understanding (I think a comment was made earlier in this thread along these lines) is that your lounge passes are recorded on Virgin's system and you don't actually get passes sent to you. Staff at the lounge entry should be able to check your membership and see the passes listed against your name. If in doubt ring Virgin.
Edit:
