Wow that's a lot of spending!

Not really, I'm religious with the way I maximize my points.

60k points from new Amex via referral.

Moved into our new house before Xmas spent 5g on household items, fridge, bedding etc with the online mall and DJ's 10 X bonus netted 50k points.

2 cases of wine for for Xmas with family coming and for presents a cool 15k points for 600 bucks. Some stuff from ebay at 5 x points.
Then every single bill including rates go on the card pay pal is your friend with Amex, fuel at caltex 2 points per ltr it all adds up pretty quick.

But yeah I guess I have been going pretty crazy on the CC in the last 6 months.
They will all be gone pretty soon as I cash in 2 JAL first awards NRT to SYD for 228000 points

257k points, joined late 2013. I've been using similar tactics to Croupier. Haven't burned any points yet, kinda eyeing the one world award ticket as a long term goal.

Wow. How on earth are people earning hundreds of thousands of points for a 1m+ point balance?! Is it just through lots of flying in premium cabins?

I'm getting close to 6 figures and literally trying to score FF points wherever I can. From flights, credit card spend, car rental, Woolworth fuel, hotel stays, etc.
Every point counts - it all adds up. Hoping for a F redemption to Europe soon

I have just under 140k, Mrs BD around the 270K mark. Majority hers: cc spend. Mine cc spend + flying (800 and 1200 block awards ... tells you where the majority of my flying occurs!)

Spent 256K on LHR J rtn redemption just before Christmas, prior to that the previous spend was a last JASA to WLG rtn spent about this time last year.

Happy shopping all!!

Regards,

BD
