Another 50% SC promo

What is the subject line of the email people receive for the offer (verbatim please, so that I can search in my deleted emails)? I usually just delete marketing emails from Qantas (does anyone buy a round of golf through Qantas web site? really?).

7 days only - your 50% bonus Status Credit offer

I got another 50% bonus status credit offer. This is the third or fourth this year. Again, one week to book, but covers all flights until January next year.

Is this the same as EDR offers? The less you fly the more offers you get?

Would love to take some of those offers off your hands. ;)

Can the 7 days be extended?
I just got one but it is only valid for 7 days and to organise a big trip with work might take me 10-14 days. Has anyone had success in getting them to extend the 7 days?
?somehow call them and promise to make a booking next week?
I'd really love to take advantage of the offer but won't be able to arrange it in such a short time

Probably unlikely they would extend, and even less so if they are reasonably confident that you would be booking with them, regardless........ I have the same dilemma, having just received my first bonus SC offer in a few years... this same 50% one with 7 days to act. Got it a day or two ago, but I will probably just scrape in if I can get my dates for November travel to Asia & India in order.

Good luck with yours!

Cheers,
Matt.

I hadn't received one for years but flew CX in business class back in August and BOOM... a 50% SC bonus email lands in my inbox. Seems like the programs monitoring in the background latch onto things quickly when you loyalty starts to deviate.

Belated welcome to AFF flyingroo.

That's just a coincidence. I have flown CX last month, MH in the past 3 months and RJ and UL in past 6 months and still no promotion. The randomness of the SQL used and probably targetting a very small % of QFFers could mean a long wait for some.

Or that some are never targetted.

I too received the QFF 50% bonus SC offer yesterday. Coincidentally it was my anniversary review date and the day my SCs reset to zero.

JohnK, those spread of flights/carriers are normal for you. It when there is a NEW deviation from the "simpler and fairer" that the rule fires and the email to return you to the fold gets generated. Either that or lifetime status holders are totally ignored. ;)

Happy wandering

Fred

Got my first bonus SC promotion in about 4 years this week . Came at good time as we are planning our Christmas/New Years getaway!!

Quick question tho, the T&C's state that "An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status Credits are normally earned. Status Credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Award flights and Qantas codeshare flights operated by Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Valuair and Jetstar Japan other than in Economy booking classes Y, B, H, K, and L (when booked as part of a oneworld® fare)." I'm assuming that if I book a QF coded EK flight (ie SYD-AKL), I will still receive the bonus SC's. Is that correct?

Anyone had recent experience with how long it takes for the bonus SC to post?
I'm waiting for SYD to Europe rtn been 5 days now since I got back and nothing for either the outbound or return.
Wondering if I should call to check on it ?

This made me realise I overshot Platinum renewal by exactly 80 Scs.
I guess I wasted this bonus!

I called up. Put through to FF service centre. Apparently they can see that the booking is eligible and I did register but I need to wait 6-8 weeks for the SC to post. I asked for them to be manually credited but the Agent said not possible to do that.
Sounds a bit weird as I'm pretty sure I've had SC and points fixed manually before when they have incorrectly posted or not posted at all.
