Another 50% SC promo

Got it: but like many others had already booked flights through to the end of the year. One tends to do this if you are paying your own way and given the rapid changes in prices which can occur between classes. Had already reconciled myself to not retaining WP: the 50% bonus would probably have tipped me over still....

After an offer back in September I booked two trips in the promo period, both appear in the Activity Statement but neither have credited bonus SC.

What is the point of making customers wait 6-8 weeks? We just have to keep track of the outstanding items ... and get frustrated at QF for being so inefficient.

Surely giving customers a quick reward for their custom is the loyalty jolt QF are looking for, or cynically they already have your money (back when you booked) so make 'em wait

Ditto on Sept offer > booking, and travel (for me, completed at the weekend). Also agree with frustration on crediting bonus SCs. I could see why they might want to delay crediting QF points, but to hold back on the SCs doesn't make a lot of sense.

My 50% bonus SCs have just showed up today, unprompted, 12 days after I finished the itinerary. Pretty happy with that, considering some of the stories in this thread. Unfortunately, I'm not likely to get any more of these offers for a while now, with my profile having been filled with 2016 bookings, as we spend up the remainder of our 2015 budget at work!

Cheers,
Matt.

Mine have just arrived too. It could be that they have just run the batch.

I was going to ring Qanras tonight and enquire as I was missing bonus SCs for 20 flights back to the start of October. They all were credited today so saved me the trouble.

Mine too have all shown up today. Have been on the phone to Qantas chasing them up, and after two consultants promised to look into it and call me back within 3 business days then failed to do so, a third advised me there was a delay crediting the last batch which they were working on. Happy to say most have now posted, the only ones that haven't are ones from a credit voucher from a cancelled booking. At the end of the day, will make no difference, so am not going to chase further, but will chase the 1000 points for the price promise guarantee, which the same service agent had never heard of.

I have a question regarding this offer...

If you make a booking during the timeframe offered but change it after the eligibility time expires, I will you still qualify for the bonus SC?

Well, very strange with mine. I flew CHC-SYD (Emirates code share) - MEL - CBR in business class. All showed up within a couple of days except the EK code share (a QF flight number).

Don't know why they have done this, but I'll be on the phone to them tomorrow.

You have just confirmed my suspicions!!
Between here and those I know on Facebook I think there's a problem with QF codeshares on EK.
Several people, myself included have had enormous difficulty in getting the bonus SC to post without manual intervention.

Same here. I fail to understand why it takes 6 weeks to post. Same happens with the recent transfer of points bonus. No reason why it shouldn't be immediate.

As a counterpoint of my QF codeshares on EK I have never needed to follow-up on the bonus SC, appeared within a week of the flights.

As so many others have noticed, the bonus SC finally posted on the 11th and so I'm now SG for the first time since joining QFF in 1995 - woohoo!

For anyone that is wondering about whether their SC bonus applies, consider this: my original booking was partly funded by a gift voucher that was purchased within the validity period; the original booking was changed within the validity period but kept the original PNR... And the SC bonus did apply, despite the T&Cs suggesting otherwise.

Mine also posted- conveniently only a few days after I flew last Tuesday!

Now the wait for the return leg to credit on the 13th. Then I've also got a flight to NRT via BNE on 31/12 in J which should be a decent earner :-D

There has been mention that you no longer qualify for the bonus. There should be mention in the terms and conditions.

So after an email to QFF about the missing 'bonus' SC a couple of days ago, today I received 3 phone calls from two different staff at QFF. First one to confirm that I had in fact registered and asked me to send a screenshot - I was at work so I said I would do it when I got home this evening. Second call was received just after I had returned home (no chance to send the screenshot yet) and the QFF staffer said something along the lines of "we've considered your claim and, even though you didn't register we will grant the bonus SC as a gesture of goodwill".

I responded that I had just arrived home and would send the screenshot showing I *had* registered in the next hour or so. QFF's response was, "no need, we can see you booked these flights during the promo period and travelled as required, so we will grant the bonus SCs. However, you should note that this is a *ONE TIME ONLY GOODWILL GESTURE* and next time we won't be able to do this." I replied that, actually, I *had* registered and would willingly send the screenshot to prove it, goodwill was not required on this occasion.

But the QFF staffer would not be swayed - the goodwill SC had already been posted and I had used up my "goodwill" opportunity. The agent seemed a little put off that I wasn't gushing thanks for her heroic intervention on my behalf. Am I being unreasonable, this doesn't seem right - there was no goodwill required, why am I suddenly indebted to QFF for some glitch in their system which didn't record the rego ?

To clarify, I am thankful for the bonus SC offer - but the long wait for bonus to post, and the need to follow-up, and the way it was handled... all leaves me thinking that paying the QF fare (instead of the cheaper option), just to earn a few measly bonus SC, really isn't worth the bother (particularly as I had already easily re-qualified WP for the year).

Got an offer today to book in the next week and fly by May. Would love to use it but sadly can't see it happening. :(

I also received this one, my first in over two years. Membership year ends 30 April so this could be quite handy.
